Day 1 Resources:
Day 1 - Free Tool Flywheel 3 Day Workshop
===
[00:00:00] Wow, did I actually make it? This is nuts. So, you are in the right place, by the way. But I'm a little bit late. So this is day one of our three day challenge where we're gonna be going through the free tool flywheel. That is the strategy we're gonna be doing together over the next three days.
And so you are in the right place. Apologies for being late, but you'll never believe what Microsoft did to me. So I'd like to blame Bill Gates, but he's no longer running Microsoft. But, you know, we're, we're getting ready to go live and my computer decides my, I have two machines, right? I have my desktop machine where I share my screen and I manage the stream.
And then I have my, my portable streaming rig, which is a laptop, and then all my expensive equipment is all tied into the laptop to do the stream. So the laptop decides. To just reboot itself. It just Microsoft decided it was time for an update and it just [00:01:00] restarted, installed an update and proceeded to break my computer.
But just moments before we were go, supposed to go live. And so I've been here doing battle with with Microsoft and my laptop, but we made it. So camera's working. Mike is working, I hope. And then I have a, a mystery guest who it will be coming on in just a little bit as well. So, I'm gonna bring him on him on in a moment.
He's our, our mystery guest and my co-host through this experience. And he is somebody who is going through this same process. You guys are, he's doing the free tool flywheel. I started working with him about a week ago and he's been actually doing the process and he can report back and tell you a bit about how that's going.
And you'll you guys are gonna all love to hear how it's going. It's going really well. It's a little sneak peek but I'll bring him on in a minute. We'll talk about his experience. Excuse me. And then we'll dive into the training. And just a quick heads up about the format [00:02:00] of how we're gonna be doing the training.
So we're gonna be together starting today for the next three days. So it'll be at the same exact time. And you will have a new link for each day. So each day you're gonna get a live link where you can come and tune in live with us. The chat that you see on this page, typically it's usually down, below or off to the side.
And it is a private chat between you and me and the team here. We have several members of the team that are there helping you out. And so that, that is a private chat. It's not an open chat for everyone, just between you and us. So you can talk about. Inside details about your business, things you might not want public.
Totally. It's between you and I and, and my team over here. And then what happens is after each day we take the video materials and we take today's discussion, and then we create your written guides and written materials. Literally as soon as we go off the air, we'll make any of the written follow up materials that, that we owe you.
And then we're gonna put [00:03:00] up a replay page. In that replay, we'll drop in all the links to the written guides and materials. And then we'll be sending you an email a bit later in the day so you can come and watch that replay. And the replay will be up for 24 hours. For those of you who are just have a standard ticket.
Then there were some upgrades. We had the VIP upgrades. The insider and elite upgrades. And if you have some of those, you get additional written material, you get a bunch of extra stuff from us. And so your replay pages will be slightly different and you'll have more stuff on them than everyone with a a standard ticket.
So that is kind of the agenda of how we're gonna run this. And so each day you'll have a separate set of links and we will be emailing and texting you to make sure that you know where to go and when to be here. But the simple answer is go to the link that we send in your email, and I will be live tomorrow at noon Pacific.
That's three Eastern, and then again on Wednesday noon, three Eastern. So that's the [00:04:00] timing and the logistics of how this is all gonna work. So pay close attention to your emails. That's the the important lesson from this. That's how we're gonna be fulfilling this whole thing as we as we continue on for the next few days.
Let me see here. I noticed I had a bunch of text messages coming in, so let me okay, that's not for me. I forgot to turn off all my notifications here. So let me turn do that. I recommend you do the same thing. By the way, let me shut down all distractions, all sources of notifications and
cool. And I think I got that handled. Alright. Awesome. Now let me check in with the chat and see how you guys are doing. Okay. And I do see a bunch of people saying hello and by the way, big hello. Give me, normally I do that right, do the, do the big hellos. So if I haven't said hello yet, or you haven't said [00:05:00] hello to me, hi.
So give me a hello in the chat. And and then with that I'll have my mystery. I'll leave you as a mystery voice in the background. But mystery guest have any, are we having any tech issues? Everything seem good? Are we cleared for takeoff? Everything seems good to me. Yeah. Alright, fantastic.
Well, I will introduce being rude to my mystery guest. I'll introduce him in just a moment and bring him on camera. And here we go. So let me get my presentation up. I built a presentation with Buildy. Those of you who don't, may not know that the tool that you will all get. Build e ai.
There's a special version of it that you're all gonna get. And it makes many things. It makes software, tools, websites, shopping carts, stores, and awesome presentations for like webinar sales presentations and video sales letters and things. So that's what I use to make today's presentation the same tool that you guys are [00:06:00] gonna get.
And let me get my screen sharing going so I can pop it up there. We want our entire screen. We want that one. And oh, give you guys a glimpse of the mystery guest. Nothing slightly less mysterious, but yeah. We'll, we'll bring you back in a minute. Alright. And so yeah, this is the so you can see here I built it just by chatting with Buildy over here.
And it's pretty cool. So we will fire it up here. I'm gonna go full screen.
And that's what this is all about, the free tool flywheel. So this is the, the three step process we'll be doing each step as we go through day by day. And that is to find problems that we can help people with. We build them a solution and then we give it to 'em. That's the simple process. And, to give you an overview of this.
So as you signed up to get your ticket, I did go over this, but I wanna [00:07:00] just do a quick recap of the entire process so you guys are all oriented and you know exactly what we're gonna be doing together. So during this process, step by step, first we're gonna be finding those pain points and we're gonna be going online where people are actual real humans.
We we're not using, you know, you know, tools that are going to automate this. We actually want to go out and look and see what real humans out there are saying. They're out all over the web. And the two primary places I love to look are a site called Reddit, if you're not familiar with that. And then secondarily, there's another place which are public Facebook groups.
There are also forums online where people hang out and talk as well. And we go to those places and we're looking for. Simple problems, like we wanna find one single problem, ideally identify it and then help people solve it. Or at least help them get a little more organized or move them a little closer to [00:08:00] solving that unique problem with a tool that we're gonna be using or build the AI system to make together.
Okay. Which is step two. Then we build the solution. Once we have identified the problem, I'm gonna show you how you figure out how to solve it. And you can do this with a simple conversation. It's just having a chat with Buildy. You can talk through how to best solve it and, and, and how we're going to you know, help people with that unique problem.
Okay. And then we're gonna turn it into a product. It'll be ready to go by the next day. You can, in one sitting, you can launch a tool and maybe a little bit more than that. And my mystery guest who will not be a mystery in a moment, he can talk about this process 'cause he's already been through it.
And then the final third step, which is he is in now, is we give that tool away for free. And then we profit. And I'll explain how that works and we'll get you started on that on day three of our days together. So this is [00:09:00] all about, it's not about selling, it's not about hard selling, being pushy or trying to like somehow use, you know, Jedi mind, voodoo to, convince people to buy your stuff. Sure, those are all great and fine. They work, but that's not what this is about. We're just gonna be providing honest, true, simple solutions that help people. And we give people the tool for free and we make profit. It's a pretty, it's a pretty cool, pretty clean business model that I, I, I really do like it.
So that's the process that we are gonna be doing together,
and I like the little subtle animations that Buildy put in here. But so today we're gonna be focusing in on step one, which is finding a pain point. But before we do that, now, I will bring on our, our mystery guest. And so his name is Colin Colin Deco. Thanks for helping me out. Yeah, yeah, no problem.
I'm, I'm glad to be here. I'm happy to [00:10:00] give people a hand and tell 'em what my experience has been like. It's been pretty good so far, but yeah. Awesome, awesome. So, yeah, so Colin will be he's gonna be my right hand man throughout this whole present, this whole process together. As we spend the next three days together.
He's gonna be here watching the chat, helping engage with you, get your questions through to me and then helping guide me through this process too. And then as an extra bonus, he's also our case study, so you guys can learn a little bit more about that. So let's talk real quick about the process and how it's gone for you so far.
So you're now all the way through to step three. You've just begun step three. Can you walk people through kind of like, has this been difficult, you know, what challenges have you run into? Yeah, let's just talk about it in general. Yeah. So the first thing I wanna say is I, in no way, shape or form have ever tried to build an app.
I am not a. I'm, I'm not as tech savvy as some people my age and, you know, I can't code. [00:11:00] So the fact that I've been able to jump into this and get it done as fast as I have, I am a little picky, I'll tell you that. So it's taken me, like, it took me more like three or four sit downs to do it, but it's, I enjoyed it.
It was fun. You know, you just prompt basically what I do, I I use another AI bot on top of it because I was already making quizzes. It's kind of, what, what I'm doing with this is I'm making quizzes for nurses, but I was already making quizzes via another bot, so I kind of had to break the process down for me.
And then I put that kind of format and just threw it into build and build, just within a matter of probably five minutes, maybe less, it popped an app right out. So it's been pretty impressive. And so let's talk a minute about the early stages. You know, we're gonna, I'm gonna show people who may not have an idea for a problem to solve, how to go find those problems.
So we're, that's what we're gonna dig into today. But for you, you had one just out right in [00:12:00] front of you in real life. You wanna talk about how you identified this problem? Yeah. So, my wife started nursing school about three weeks ago now. Mm-hmm. And so she has 57 hours of studying every week, which is more than a full-time job.
And on top of the studying, they tell them that they have to build these quizzes for themselves, kind of as a part of studying. But building the quizzes themselves takes, I don't know, upwards of another hour for each quiz, and they have four or five every week or two. So. It's an extra five to 10 hours.
It's pretty, it's already, like I said, 57 hours, so it's crazy. But I was like, maybe I, and are these quizzes like to prepare them for an exam? Is that kind of the idea? Yeah, for the nclex. The NCLEX is like their big, um mm-hmm. End of the line exam. They have to pass to become a registered nurse [00:13:00] and that's all their goal.
So, and it, it is challenging. Like I've seen some of the stuff and I don't know anything about nursing. That's another thing. And the questions this thing spits out are like. I have no idea. So it's doing a good job and I've, I have checked all the answers, so it's like, it's impressive. Yeah. Well, I wanted just pause for a moment here too and point out probably everybody noticed this, but you said two key things that I want to help ease everyone's mind.
Number one, you don't know anything about the niche that you're in, right? You're not a nurse. You don't know anything about nursing, right? And I mean, even your wife, she just started nursing school. So, and then two, you're not a coder. You're not like some, like, you know, techie website building genius.
You just, you know. Yeah. Just a guy. Yeah. Yeah. So you can use email and you know, typical stuff, right? Normal things. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And, and I know people hear that from me 'cause I'm the, you know, I'm, I'm the pitch guy telling everybody how easy it is and you don't need [00:14:00] to know technology. And I know that everyone has just a little bit of skepticism in the back of their mind going, oh yeah, right.
You know, but I mean, so now you've been through it. So what is, has your experience, you, you, you've got a finished product, your app is launched, right? It's, yeah, I have, I've been passing it around at the local college. Basically like my wife goes to school, she's like, Hey, wanna see an app? And she's kind of just like, short pitching.
I'm like, Hey, this is a really helpful tool like that I've been using. And it's been pretty impressive. I will say. Result wise, she's had the best exam scores in her class, her and her friends that have been using it. So it seems to be helping. Maybe they're That's awesome. Which I mean it, and this is a real example of why, when we really identify a real world problem and help and give people honest help with it that's where the money comes from.
And the money kinda, which we'll get, we're gonna get to that a bit later in, in, during our three days. But in day three we'll talk about the money making. But that's kinda like the last thing that happens and it just kind of happens [00:15:00] naturally because we're helping people, which is, I, I really love this business model.
Yeah. Cool. And so, just so everyone knows too, the app that you built it, it is pretty awesome. They just upload their lessons right? To the app? Yeah. So yeah, you, yeah. They take their PDFs or their their notes, even like if you have your notes on your computer mm-hmm. You upload the PDF and basically you'll go to the create a quiz section.
Select your PDF, like title it and everything and it'll just shoot out. I think it's five to 50 question exams. That's amazing. That's amazing. So, so there you go. There is proof positive that you can do it even if you don't know tech stuff, even if you're not familiar with your niche markup. So that there we go.
So Colin, again, thank you so much for, you know, being hanging out with me for these next three days. And everybody give Colin a big warm welcome. Say say hello to Colin. He's actually [00:16:00] never been on any of my shows or streams or anything, so he's new to all of this. Yeah. You know, this streaming and helping you guys.
So give him all, give Colin a warm welcome. He is gonna be really helpful through this whole process. So, yeah. Yeah. Thank you for having me. This is awesome. Yeah. Fantastic. And last thing I'll, I'll point out before I'll take back over and get started here, is you. Had a problem just staring you in the face in real life.
Yeah. And I would bet that a good percentage of the people watching are in that same phenomenon. They're in that same, you know, boat, right? Yeah. Where somewhere in your life there are, there is a problem that you can solve with a simple app. And you know, so I want you to think about this. So today I'm gonna give you a procedure and a whole step-by-step process of going online to find problems to solve.
But I want everyone to be thinking about just your environment, your friends, your family, your coworkers, and keep your ears and eyes open just like Colin did. And you just might find your [00:17:00] perfect app sitting right in front of you. So, definitely don't focus so heavily on having to do the process I'm about to give you.
'cause you may already have a winning app. Ready to go. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Alright, cool. Well with that I'm gonna take back over Colin and I'll I'll bring you back in a bit later when we get to q and a and we'll talk more specifically about this, this identifying problems. And I wanna talk a little bit more about nursing and, and why your app is so good for that niche.
Awesome. Yeah. Thank you. So, alright, cool. Well I'm gonna take back over and pretty awesome right? Lemme check the chat. I've not been able to see the chat. Oh, good. I see everybody giving you a good, good warm greeting. Thanks everyone. And, here we go. So that's pretty cool, right? I do see some, just other questions that I'll, I'll cover really quickly.
So if you have to leave early or you're not able to attend through this whole live session, then all I need you to do is come back later today. 'cause there there will be a replay. So two things will happen [00:18:00] as soon as we go off the air. The very page, this page that you're on right now will turn into a replay automatically and you'll be able to rewind, rewatch, and, and go through the process here right here on this page.
But then in addition to that, in a few hours Colin and I will be emailing you a special replay page where the replay will live for the next 24 hours. And you can rewatch it at on demand over the next 24 hours. It will also have all of your written materials. So we have some written stuff and some bonuses that I'm getting ahead of myself.
I have some sneaky bonuses I'm gonna give you guys today. So we'll have all of that stuff for you on your replay page, which will be emailed to you in a few hours. Okay? We have to look after we get off live, we put them together and then send them to you. So that's how that works, and we'll get back on track.
Cool. So a reminder that's the three [00:19:00] steps and let's move on to what we're covering today. So today we're focusing on step one, which is finding a pain point. So we're gonna be going online to do this. So if you have identified a pain point already in your life and in your environment, you might be able to skip this step.
It'd probably be good to do it anyway. I find this is a, a really useful thing. So if you already kind of know what your app might be, you know, you can go through the same process just to kind of validate it and verify it's an important problem. But we're gonna be going using a very specific, it's almost like a little hack of Google.
So we're gonna hack Google and then we're gonna use it to dig through a site called Reddit and to dig through Facebook groups. And then finally, I'll show you a trick on how you can get into forums as well, which are just discussion groups online. And we're gonna look for. A problem that people complain about, that's our target.
Okay? Ideally, we wanna find one single problem. Collins case study is a perfect example of that. He [00:20:00] identified one single problem and created an app to fix it, which was nursing students needed to make quizzes so they could study for their exams. And he solved that problem for them. And so for you and your niche, you'll find a unique problem.
And again, ideally one, and I know people like to get, they get very enthusiastic and excited. You hear about all of these strategies and I see the very first thing most people do is they begin to think about all the ways they can help someone, right? We get it very enthusiastic and it's like, oh, I could do this.
I could do this. I could make my app do this, and I can automate this. And, and that's the wrong thing to do. Do not do that. Follow in Colin's footsteps and make it simple. Keep it simple, especially if this is your first, second, or third app, you know, maybe by the time you get to app number four, you can start to make it more complicated.
But at the beginning, keep it simple. Don't get ahead of yourself and start getting very excited about adding lots of features and helping with lots of things [00:21:00] that comes later. Now we're gonna just look for one. I would say if you absolutely can't control yourself and you have to solve multiple problems, don't do any more than three.
Ideally one that we're gonna try to find with this process. Okay. Now
a quick side note. I need to check this. I wanna find out who here already knows or has a general idea of what niche market they want to go into. Pop into the chat and give me a big yes or a not yet. Okay. Don't say no, say not yet. And those of you who've been through some of my mindset training, know why I don't say no to almost anything.
I say not yet. So give me a yes or a not yet in the chat and let me take a peek and see. Okay. Okay. Looks like the not yets are winning. By a little bit. [00:22:00] Not yet. You're winning by a little bit. Cool, cool. Alright. Giving you everybody enough time to put their votes into the chat, but we do have a lot of, not yet. All right, well then I have a follow up question for this. Okay. Who here has seen my Ikigai training do the same thing? So, we'll, once again, one more time. Give me a yes or a not yet.
Have you seen my training? It's called Ikigai. Really weird name. Japanese. I'll explain what that means in a second. But it's my Ikigai training. Give me a yes or a not yet. And let's check the chat again here. Oh. Lot of you haven't seen that. Okay. Okay. That's surprising. Okay, good. So, alright, well I have done some training on how to pick your niche markup, and I'm gonna give you a very quick overview of it here.
But what I would like to do, 'cause the train's already recorded it's available we even have a guidebook I can give you about it. But Ikigai is a Japanese word and it comes from [00:23:00] some ancient Japanese practices. It's sort of a philosophy. It's kind of a philosophy of life. And, and basically it's how do you figure out what to do in life?
You know, like, what do I wanna do when I grow up? Kind of a question, you know, what kind of a business might I want to have or what kind of career might I want to pursue? And you apply this technique called Ikigai. And if you think about. It's one of those diagrams, those Venn diagrams with the, the circles, you know, and then the circles overlap and you're looking for the places where they overlap in the middle.
And so what we wanna do is what we, when we're trying to decide who we wanna help, who we wanna serve in the market, we're going to examine a couple of things. First, we're gonna look at things that you personally like. You know, some people would say, what do you love? What do you have to at least, like, what kind of a business you're gonna go into?
So, do you like the customers? Do you like the people in a niche market? Do you like the niche? Could it be a hobby of yours or could it, it, could it be [00:24:00] something, you know, that maybe like in CO's example it's related to his wife. So I'm sure he likes his wife, right? Yeah, he likes Good, good to verify that.
So I'm sure he likes his wife and he likes the idea of her having a good, fulfilling, rewarding career, right? So he's not gonna get tired of helping. His wife and the people in her career. But if you pick something that you just don't give a crap about, just to call it plainly what it is, you just don't care about it at all.
You have zero liking of it. It's, you could take it or leave it. Well, some point in down the road of building a business, you're gonna struggle. You're gonna have difficulties, confusions, frustrations. And if you're in a business that you just, you just don't care about, you will tend to quit. And I know this.
It's absolutely 100% true. I've seen it over and over and over again when I have coached students through to start a business and they start a business in a niche that they don't [00:25:00] care about. The minute they have problems like getting traffic, maybe, maybe when it's time to get traffic, they're struggling a little bit, trying to figure out Facebook ads or content marketing or YouTube or whatever it is that they're doing for traffic.
They start to struggle a little bit and they're like, you know, I don't know. I saw this other technique that, you know, name some guru maybe Russell Brunson talked about. And here's this whole other strategy that Russell was talking about. And pop, they bounced right out of the business and they drop it and it dies, and then they're onto another shiny object.
And so if you've ever had that phenomenon where you've you know, jumped from shiny object to shiny object, which I'm guilty, I've done it. So don't, don't feel bad if that's you. But under that is this issue. So this first circle in the diagram is something that you like or you love and you make a list of those things.
You just make a list of all the things that you like or you love. Hobbies, careers just stuff in general. Could be something as simple as, I love pets, I love parks, I love traveling, I love whatever or things that you like and you make a [00:26:00] big old list. Then you move on to things that you are good at.
Okay? That's, this is another thing. And this could be something either that you want to be good at or that you are good at. Okay? So we don't wanna put anything on the list that you can, you just don't care if you're good at it or not. Okay? Something that you are at least curious enough about that you want to be good at it, or maybe you are good at it, so you don't have to be a guru or some expert or have official training or a degree or anything like this at all.
You just have to be at least be interested in becoming an expert at the topic you're going to serve. Okay? So we, that's the other circle. So we've got a circle that we're gonna make of what we're good at, a circle that we're gonna make of things that we like. And then finally, we're gonna make, well, not there's two more.
Third circle is what the world needs. And we're gonna focus on this one very heavily today, is, is gonna be what this circle is all about. And that is [00:27:00] finding problems, situations, things in the world that the, the world that the world needs, right? So what do they need? What problems do they need help with solving?
What goals do they need help achieving? And then the fourth and final circle of Ikigai is. What the world will pay for, right? So you, you which the, the magic solution of our, of our method that just kind of works itself out in this, in a funny way. But that's the, that, that is the idea behind how you choose a niche is you use these four circles and you make a lists of things, and then you figure out what are the, where those things are kind of like commonalities in between them all.
And that's the niche that you pick. So I've, I have a training where I explain that a lot better, in a lot more detail. I'd like to give it to you guys, in fact. I'll tell you what really quick, if you note down, there's a, there's a free newsletter. My son Nick runs it. It's called iNOS.
Anybody hear a subscriber? Say yes or not [00:28:00] yet. It's free. So if you subscribe to his newsletter, he has a library of free content that he's gonna give you. One of those things is my Ikigai training. So do me a favor and go sign up to the Ingenio newsletter. So to do that you can just go to push button.ai/subscribe.
And you know what? Here, gimme a moment. I will send a broadcast message through where's day one? Where is day one? I can't find the conversation. Shoot. Oh, there it is. Okay. I think this is the right one. So
I'll pop this through. You can copy and paste this. It won't be a clickable link. But hopefully you guys all get this. I just sent it through. Okay, cool. So I [00:29:00] just set that through. So, go subscribe. That will unlock his library. Okay. And in his library of tools, he has a video and a written guide on how to use Ikigai.
Okay. And then I will follow up as well. So Colin and I are gonna be putting your written materials together and sending them out. So I'll make sure that you have a, a link to that. But you will need to be a subscriber to ingenio. It's free. And he sends some really good content. So it's not a pitch list, it's a content list.
So you'll get a weekly newsletter and a lot of great content from that from that newsletter. And yeah, so if you're a subscriber there, you'll be able to get access to the Iki Guide training. So that's about all we're gonna cover for it today though. So when you need to pick your niche again, pick a niche that is something that you can at least.
I kind of have at least some degree of interest or liking for, and that you're at least curious about being good at. You know, those are the two minimum requirements. And then finding problems to solve, we're gonna cover in today's [00:30:00] training. So with that, I'm gonna move on. I don't wanna dwell too much on Ikigai, then we're gonna fall behind for the training.
But just rest assured, I'll send you all the video and the additional written material on Ikigai. And and yeah, there we go. So,
okay. So we're gonna move on and we're gonna assume that you either know or you have used my Ikigai training to pick your niche once you know what your niche is, which, oh, there was my question about Ikigai. I like, I like the little light bulb that Buildy put in there. And so these are the steps.
Okay, so we'll, we'll walk through them one at a time.
First up, we're gonna generate a small list of generic keywords related to your niche. So, let's use Colin as an example. So Colin was he picked the nursing niche. So the general [00:31:00] keywords are gonna be pretty simple, right? It's gonna be like nurse, nursing, you know, maybe nursing school. Mm-hmm. You know, and, and that's about it, right?
So we want generic keywords related to your niche. Let's say if I was gonna go in the dog niche, so I'd be like, dog canine dogs, maybe I dog training, possibly, right? That would be examples. And these are things that. You don't need to have magical tools or anything to do it. You just need to use common sense and logic.
And if you want to, you could open up chat GPT and have a chat with an AI and say, Hey, I'm, I'm interested in this niche. You know, give me five or less general keywords for my niche. So that would be one way to dig it out if you wanna use AI to uncover it. Any AI chat bot in fact, you can even put Buildy in chat mode and ask it.
So in fact, would you guys like to see that Here, let me just go to Buildy and I will show you.[00:32:00]
So what you'll do when you're on building, which by the way, we're gonna be setting up your build accounts if you don't already have one, we're gonna set them up and we're gonna be upgrading your accounts to a special level of access. So to unlock all the features you need. So that's gonna happen tomorrow.
But you'll get access to this, this was what you got a trial for. And what you can do is you can put it in planning mode. And I think people, a lot of people don't realize how powerful planning mode is. Hey Colin, I'll put you on the spot. Did you, have you used planning mode very much? I was about to say.
No, I haven't. I didn't even, no, there you go. Might have made it a little easier. Yeah. So what planning mode does, is it, like, it disengages the coding agents, so the agents that actually write code, it, it it does, it stops talking to them and instead sort of talks to a strategic advisor and the strategic advisor can give you advice about things.
So, we'll put it in plan [00:33:00] mode. We're gonna say, I am thinking about making an app for the nursing niche market, but I need help with keyword research. What are five or less keyword phrases that describe this niche market?
And then we hit the button. Okay? And it's gonna do some thinking. Now the thing about build is it's gonna try to spin up a preview app. Okay? You can ignore this. And you can come back here. And when you're ready to build your app, you take it out of planning mode and then build your app here. Okay? [00:34:00] So, now you don't need to use buildy.
You can also use other tools for this. So simple tools like Chat GT or Google Gemini or Claude by Anthropic. There's a, there are an endless sea of AI tools, so you don't have to use buildy, but you can if you want to. And then it will come back and ah, here, we'll see. Let's see what it came up with.
So there were some, some keywords here that it came up with actually. It seemed to focus in on nursing careers, nurse jobs, search nurse tools, and apps. Nurse community support. Okay, so these are some keyword phrases and you can and you can make them even more generic than this. These are getting even a little, just a little bit specific, but you can make them more generic.
So you can come in and say instead just merely the word nurse, nursing nurses. And then maybe if you already knew you were looking for nursing students, nursing school, [00:35:00] you could add those to the mix as examples. Okay. Now let me move that window out of the way over here and,
okay, cool. Now we'll go back to the screen share. So we take our list. Our small list. Now we're not looking for like a giant list, a small list, five or fewer keyword phrases is what you want to come up with. Then we're gonna bust open the good old Google. So we're gonna use Google and we're gonna use what's called a search operator.
Have you heard of a search operator? Anybody here know what that is? Yes. Or not yet? I wanna, I'm just curious how many people are using search operators? It is a really super powerful way to use Google and so many people don't know about them, don't know, you know, and don't use them if they do. But yeah, a search operator.
Is something [00:36:00] that is we're gonna use here. And what this does is it helps to guide and give Google specific instructions on how you want it to do the search. And so what we're gonna be doing is we're gonna be using the site search operator, which tells Google, Hey, I only want to search in this specific website.
So, and in our case, the first place we're gonna go is Reddit. So we're telling Google we wanna search Reddit and we only want you to give us results from Reddit and nowhere else. And that's how we do it. So I'll bust open a chat window here and we'll, and I'll show you. So, so we're gonna copy this, this right here.
Copy. I.
We are gonna paste it in here. We're gonna type our, [00:37:00] one of our keyword phrases. So in this case, we could say,
I'll put nursing school there. And then what we're gonna do is we're gonna start with just coming up with problem phrases. So I'm gonna be giving you a list. It's actually one of the bonuses I'm gonna give you, which is a list of problem phrases. And these are things like help, okay? There's a bunch of words, one to three word phrases that indicate when someone is talking about a problem, right?
They may frustrations. Pain points solutions. They're looking on Reddit for these things and they're typing and having conversations about them. There are certain keywords that are almost like flags that tell us that people are talking about those problems. Okay. So we put our primary main keyword and then we put one of our problem keywords here, and then we hit search.[00:38:00]
Okay.
See a bunch of people preparing for nursing school study advice books that help them prepare how to support their partner in nursing school. But you can see here, there is a endless sea of problems that people are talking about. It just goes on and on and on. Right, and then you can guide this if you want to get more specific.
Like, let's say, let's say in Collin's case, he knew specifically, he was so focusing on nursing school study. So you can modify your keyword phrases to help you uncover this. I mean, just look at this one topic alone. I mean, there's over 10 pages of results. I don't know how far it will go. So there's 14 pages.
Is that the end? No. Oh, wow. 18 pages. 22 pages. So as you can see, okay, so we, I I'm just, this is gonna be silly, [00:39:00] so you can tell there, there are thousands of discussions on Reddit about nursing. Okay. And so, and we just look at them, right? So I know people love magic push button, automated, automated tools, but you know, sometimes there is no replacement for just good old fashioned.
Using your own brain and your own eyes to go look. That experience of reading and looking and examining is a learning experience. Okay? So it's a process. And you know, I'm gonna like, I build AI tools for a living. That's what I do. And I am using this good old fashioned method here. Okay? Now I could build an AI tool that might help with this.
I like to do it the old fashioned way. It does, it is a little bit time consuming. Maybe some people, you know, I don't know. I might spend quite a lot of time doing this, but maybe some people wanna do it faster. Anybody want an ai? Do you want an automated tool that does that? Anybody here? [00:40:00] I am curious.
I know I do it the old fashioned way. But would you like an AI tool that does that? I wanna see say old fashioned. Or AI in the chat. We got some yeses. Oh, yeses. Okay. I'll assume the yeses are for the ai. Yeah, yeah. Give me the tool. Okay. Okay. Well, let me figure it out. Okay. I, I don't, and I'm gonna promise you, I'm just you know, I'll look into what we can do about that, but stay tuned.
So, I can't, no promises but let me look into seeing what, what can be done. I just wanted to check before I go, burning up time trying to figure it out. But it doesn't look like there's a lot of interest in that. Cool. All right. Thanks everyone. Okay. So now moving back to the presentation.
So we're gonna go to Google. We're gonna do the, we're gonna use the search operator here. The next one. I cannot stress how awesome this is. So did you know that you can search through. [00:41:00] All the Facebook groups, there's tons of millions of Facebook groups that are searchable. And as an example, I know Colin, you're, you've been in the trying to find groups on Facebook for another reason, but yeah, isn't it shocking how many is like in nursing?
Like how many nursing Facebook groups do you see? Like there's an endless amount. It good, it's, I'm scrolling for a while if I wanted to get to the bottom of that. And so what we're doing here is we're gonna again use the site operator from Google and there's a spec, there's two little things we're doing here.
First I'm using the site operator as you see there, site colon, that's the site operator. Then you'll notice I put a star here. That's a little bit of magic. So the star is what's also known as a wild card. If, for those of you are familiar with wild cards in, in the world of computers and programming and things so what this [00:42:00] particular bit here does is it will search every group.
So it's gonna look for a, a match. So let me give you an example. I think, yeah, that would be smart. Let me give you an example here. I'll keep picking on, on a call. And so we'll stick with nursing on this one just for a moment. Okay? So you'll notice so nursing will help. So you do the site operator, you paste it exactly as I showed you.
You put a space and then you put your keyword, okay? And then then you add the, the problem phrases that I'm gonna give you, I'm gonna give you a list of problem phrases. There'll be things like help, frustrations. How do I, there'll be a whole bunch of them that you can use to find problems. So I'm gonna give you a complete list of those.
Don't, don't worry about that. And you'll go through and just do this, right? We'll hit enter and look at that. All of these are specific posts, [00:43:00] posts in Facebook groups about that problem. Again, an endless sea of them. So we could do the same thing. Yeah, it'll go on and on and on. And there'll be more of these probably than there are even Reddit posts.
So, tEAS? Is that the test that you were talking about? Or is that a different test? I think that's a different test. Okay. I'm assuming that's for like the LPN right there. I think that's after the RN program. Okay. If I'm not mistaken. So you see, you click it and you get right into the discussion. So there is golden here.
If you can look into the discussion, you see what these people are talking about. Their struggles are what's helped 'em, what hasn't helped 'em, what they're, what they're looking for. And now you'll notice if you, hopefully this is not too small, but there's a reason that Star is there and that's for this bit right here.
That that's the what this is doing is it's making Google look [00:44:00] into every Facebook group, regardless of the name of the group or, or the link to it. That special you know, wild card that I showed you there, right here. That star right here is very, very important. That's how we search every Facebook group and only get back posts related to what we're looking for.
Cool. So now what we're doing, if you're doing it the old fashioned way, like me, you're making notes and so you're gonna use a tool whatever your favorite note taking tool is. Like one of the ones that I use, I'll pull it over here. Is notepad plus plus. So it's just a good old text file, right? Or you can use a note taking tool.
Another note tool I use is Evernote. You could use a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, a Word document, whatever it is that you, whatever's your favorite is what you'll use and all you're gonna do. And like this example here, you're gonna come in and maybe [00:45:00] copy some of this, right? So, copy.
Paste. Okay. Or you can summarize it, right? So, you know, you can also, if you don't like having all this here, we can say help passing the PEA test. We could summarize it like, like that. So it's, again, whatever makes sense to you. Summarize them or copy and paste them, or maybe do a little bit of both.
And we're just gonna make a big old list of them. So you might end up with, you know, 10 or 20 of these by the time you're done. That's our notes. Then what we're going to do is we're gonna take all of our notes, we're gonna head on over to chat GPT and do what's called a deep research session. Okay? So. Let me do this. I'm gonna do this in a very oversimplified way. And what I'm gonna do is [00:46:00] we're gonna come in here, I'm gonna change from nursing to, I don't know, let's say dog training.
Just to freshen this up again, dog training help. Okay? Oh no, I'm not a robot.
Alright, so here we go.
There's a problem there. Where to start? Oops.
So I'm just gonna copy it right out of there. I'm gonna put it into my notes, right? And, and I'm gonna come up. I'm just gonna do a couple of these to show you here. All right, so we'll paste that in there. Oops. Why is it not pasting?[00:47:00]
There we go. Let's see here.
And we'll do this one. Here's a couple ones here that I want to do here.
And again, I'm doing this just super, super quickly.
Okay. And there's another one there. So I'm seeing a pattern just in some of these, oh, that's the same, same one. So you might also, as you're going through this, you know, there's, there's just such an endless sea of them. So as, as you go through, you might start to see patterns and maybe you just write and hear right now [00:48:00] go, I know I can make an app that does X.
And if you get to that point you know, then you are good. If you have a, a, a bright idea that occurs to you about how you can help people as you're doing this research, chances are that's what you should go for. But if you go through the process and you're still uncertain, you're not a hundred percent sure what you want to do, what we'll do is we're gonna we're gonna take all of this, all of our notes, let me, I'm trying to find one more. Whoops. Here's one here. We'll do this one there.
Okay. So we'll take all of our notes, we're gonna copy them. And again, this what I'm doing is pretty generic and I'm gonna go over to chat, GPT and then de, depending on what you're paying for and how many you have you use deep research for this. Okay? I'm not, I only have 19 left, so I'm not gonna use my deep research session, but that's the one I recommend is that you use deep research.
Okay? [00:49:00] But I'm gonna turn on web search and instead I'm gonna put it in thinking mode. And I'm gonna say I'm researching the dog training niche market. I need your help to brainstorm some simple problems I can help people with in this niche by building a web based tool. This will be a simple app, and I'm in need of ideas.
Here are some of my notes on problems I know people have. [00:50:00] Please do your own research as well and give me a big list of simple. App ideas. Okay. And then we're gonna paste in our notes, we'll fix our spelling. And by the way, I can give you this prompt here. I'll copy it over here. So I'll save it.
I'll, I'll follow up in our email later with our written guide. We're gonna be emailing you this evening. And I'll give you that prompt so you can you don't have to worry about copying it down. I'll give it to you. Okay. And obviously, your notes are gonna be way more extensive than mine. And again, remember you want to turn on deep research mode, but again, I'm, I'm gonna save mine just for the sake of this demo.
I'm running out. And then you're gonna hit submit.
And it's gonna do some thinking. And when you have deep research mode turned on this [00:51:00] process can take as much as 20 minutes. So, you might wanna go, you know, grab some coffee, you know, go hang out with your dog while you wait for chat GPT to do its thing. Okay? In my case, I did not turn on deep research, but you absolutely should.
And and then you would come back in, you know, 10 to 20 minutes after it finishes
and, okay, let's see what it came up with.
Okay, here we go. An obedience starter plan generator. I like that. A queue clarity checker. So almost like a flashcard thing to help people identify how to do positive reward and how, how to do positive enforcement. A session timer. Oh, that's kind of cool. You can almost time how long your pet is behaving, you know, and then we'll try to lengthen it.
You kind of gamify the process. [00:52:00] Here is one a trainer finder you. This is a type of app that's a little more complicated to build, but it's called a directory where you can get a big list of trainers around the country and make it a searchable list. That's, again, this is a little bit more of an advanced one, so I wouldn't do a, a directory as your first shot.
And anyway, you can see, look at all these ideas for apps, just tons of ideas, and some of them are gonna be awful and some of them are gonna be good.
Oh, so this is for potty training. Mat Magic. Settle on a spot. Okay, so this is using a training mat. Actually that's a little bit different than I thought it was, but, but you could do one that is you know, a 10 step process for training your dog to be potty trained with a, with one of those potty mats that they have.
Anyway, there you go. Endless list of these. Now, as I [00:53:00] said, some are gonna be awful ideas, some are gonna be good. The idea is to get your mind churning on picking one. Okay. So you'll wanna pick one. And then that's gonna be your app. Okay. Now I want to do something that I think probably at this point, a lot of people are getting a little, like a little worried, like, am I gonna pick the right one?
What if I pick the wrong app idea? Who cares if you pick the wrong app idea? Only thing that's gonna happen bad is that you'll waste, I don't know, maybe an hour, right? Of, of making your app. And if it doesn't get traction and it isn't working, okay, move on. You just go make another app. With the access that you have with Buildy, you just keep making them and they are so easy to make.
Like that's the part I don't think that people really, really grasp how easy this actually is when you, you hear the word like, oh, we're gonna make some software. It just sounds complicated. It [00:54:00] sounds intimidating and a bit overwhelming. And I don't know, can you guys hear the chainsaw outside my window?
Is that coming through Colin? Very faintly. Okay. Of course they picked the perfect time as we're recording this training to fire up a chainsaw. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So I guess my neighbors decided to have a tree chopped down. Okay, so back on track point is do not be intimidated. Do not get overwhelmed at this point.
Don't get worried. Just put your, put your faith in the system, in me and in buildy it is so easy to do. Well, Colin, you can talk about this, mark. Yeah, I mean, so let's say this first app didn't go right. How, like, is it really that big a deal to just make another app? I actually, I can attest to this because I messed the app up the first time.
Like, I, it was not what I wanted it at all. It's, it was the same app built. It was just, it wasn't going in the right direction. Mm-hmm. So I completely scrapped it and started it new and this app is better. [00:55:00] Like, it took me no time to just reboot. Awesome, awesome. I mean, that's what I find. So, you know, as the founder of this tool, you know, I go in and I'll have an idea for an app, I put it in and I'm just not, I'm not feeling it, I'm not liking it.
And I do, I've done the same thing. The call is done, just start over. It is no big deal to just throw it away and make another one. Mm-hmm. And you know, the, we're actually kind of, we're in this period of time, which we have a few years of this, but we're in this period of time where the rest of the world doesn't understand how easy it is to make these things.
Like, you have like a little bit of insider knowledge, you know, through, through me about how you can use these tools and how easy this is. But the be rest of the world doesn't know this. So when you make an awesome software tool that maybe you could, you could literally make one of these in 10 minutes.
Now, you know, you might spend more time, you know, as Colin said, he's a perfectionist, so maybe he spent a few hours doing this, but yep. But you couldn't do it. I've made an app [00:56:00] in 10 minutes just saying. So if you weren't a perfectionist, Colin, how long, what, what do you think you could make an app in?
I mean, I could have had this app ready within probably 15 minutes. There was like one or two kinks that I had to fix, but it was the way I prompted. So you, you tell it what to do. It does it, it's it's fast, it's instant and people are impressed. Like she, my wife took this to school and showed her friends and stuff, and they think I'm some smart coder dude now.
And it's like, okay, yeah, why not? You're now a software founder. Like, so take it. Go for it. Yeah. So, yeah, so that the main reason to be pointing this out is just so everyone knows that you don't have to stress about this too much, you know, and, and it's sort of like the journey of doing the research that I'm laying out here and looking through all of these options.
It, it's kind of like, a bustle to flex, a [00:57:00] skill to get good at, to be able to, to, you can get to a point after you've done this a few times where, you know, you can identify something quickly and you don't have to do quite as much effort in doing it. But and then I'm gonna look into seeing how we can automate some of this for you guys, but more on, you know, we'll talk more about that maybe tomorrow or, or the next day.
And and yeah, so that, so at this point you are seeking to identify one single problem. Certainly you don't wanna have any more than, than. Three features. So that'd be like three problems max. And I recommend just one. Like, I, I really, really wanna stress that, but for those of you who just, I, I know there'll be some people here who will just not think one's one's enough.
And so I'll let you have a little bit of wiggle room and you could do up to three. Mean, heck, it's your app. You can make as many as you want. I'm just saying my guidance would be three or three or less. If you wanna succeed. Okay. And, and, and again, to use Colin as an example, he solved one simple problem and it's, but it's a [00:58:00] valuable app, like to the people that are gonna use it, solving, just doing that one thing, just making a quiz is incredibly valuable to them.
Okay, back to the screen. So we're now gonna decide one to three, but again, I'll stress, preferably one problem that we're gonna solve. Okay? Then our process is complete. So then we're ready to move on. Oh, these are our bonus items. I'll come back to those. Now what I would like to do at this point is do some q and a.
So I would like to so I'm gonna, Colin and I will come back on camera here, so I'm gonna bring you back up, Colin, and let's let's do some q and a and see if we can help people out with this. So, I don't know if there's been any questions or comments about all this, and if anybody has any, now would be a fantastic time to put them in.
And yeah, let's, let's do that. Someone [00:59:00] said, I wanna start using build tonight. Can't we have access today? Well, there's a, we have to do a manual step to upgrade you, which, you know what I wanna ask everybody? I know there was a, there was a frust, I caused some frustration about build that I wanna ask everybody about.
So it was a little confusing. I gave everyone a 21 day free trial, and my thinking about that was, that gave everyone at least a week. So if you signed up for this challenge, you know, a week ago that should give you about two weeks of time with Buildy before the, you know, the renewal happens. But yeah, I think that made it confusing and slightly frustrating to people, especially those who got, who rushed in and got your ticket early, you know, a week ago.
And I didn't mean to kind of bummed me out actually as you guys brought it up and I thought about, oh man, I didn't mean to make it so that the early action takers actually get penalized. You get less time with Buildy. So how about we do this? We are gonna have to do a manual step to upgrade everyone's accounts.
And I [01:00:00] know you wanna get started today, but how about a little bit of a trade off? So we'll start, we're gonna upgrade everyone's accounts and get you access tomorrow. But what if I just reset everyone's clock and we're gonna start 21 days from tomorrow? Is it, would that be fair? So, I, I, you know, it hit me today since we have to do this step manually anyway.
Why don't I just make it more fair. Everyone gets the same trial. Everyone gets to start tomorrow, and then you'll have a full 21 days. So instead of starting from the date of your ticket purchase, it'll just start as of tomorrow, and then it'll, you'll have 21 full days. And hopefully, you know, I know some of you wanna start today, but hopefully that'll help ease a little bit of that frustration.
And you can start tomorrow, but you'll get a full 21 days from tomorrow, 21 days out to. Build stuff, play around with Bill Lee. Use it to make whatever you want before you have to decide if you want to continue you know, with your subscription. So what's the consensus? I don't have the [01:01:00] chat panel open now.
They, they happy about that? They throwing tomatoes at me. I don't know. Everyone says yes. Sure. Awesome. Okay. Yeah. Okay, cool. Derek asked, is build like Rept? Yes. But made for people who are not technical? Rept is cool. But it can get a little intimidating, a little bit overwhelming if you're not technical.
Yeah, I mean, Colin, I know you've played around with a couple other tools. What do you, what do you say about that? I haven't played with Rept, but I've played with Bolt mm-hmm. More than any of the other ones and. I don't find them quite as intuitive. Everything in Buildy is there. You don't have to get other apps to make it work.
And I know both you have to have super base and know how to use that and also pay for that on top of it. So there's a lot of trade offs with that. And it seems like build builds engine [01:02:00] is better in my opinion. So from what I've used, it's, it's been the most intuitive and easiest for me to use. Being someone who.
Doesn't know how to code and use other apps like that, so Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you're, if you're technical and you know, at least a little bit of how to code, you know, maybe, you know, a coding language like Python perhaps then, you know, yeah, maybe another tool would be better. But for those of you who are newer to technology Build is specifically built for you.
That's the whole purpose of it. All the other apps they kinda like started out building for developers and now they're trying to figure out how to let ordinary people use the tools. And it's just confusing. And, and like Colin said, you have to buy outside. Like it doesn't come with a database. You have to buy outside services and then you have to connect it.
And then you have to, when you're coaching the the ais, you have to know how those things work to properly coach the ai. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So, building is built for [01:03:00] you. And that's, that's the main difference. So you don't need an outside database. We take care of it. You don't need any kinda, like backend solutions, any hosting, any anything.
It's just all handled to make it simple for those who are not technical. Yeah. All right. What else we got? How can I protect my idea from, from being stolen or duplicated?
Well, you can't really, I guess, is a simple answer. I mean, if you wanna go and hire an attorney to you know, to really protect yourself, you can. But even that doesn't protect you unless you have a if you have a very novel proprietary method or technical invention then you can apply for a patent and get protection.
I've gone through that process and it can result, and you have in some protections. I've also gone through that process and fought with the patent office and they would not grant [01:04:00] me a patent for something that I invented, and I fought with them, appealed, went through the whole process. So, you know, I, who knows how much money I, I flushed down the drain going through that process.
And they ultimately rejected my patent. Even though it was super clear, I invented a, a method and a process that I now see people using all over the world since I mm-hmm. I released my product. And then we have knockoffs and copies, so I do understand your concern about that. But ultimately, the way I, my mindset is I just get it out there.
I'll use copyright and trademarks. Those are simple things you can do to kind of protect some intellectual property. But otherwise I don't worry about it too much. You know, I just get it out there and do my marketing and do the best I can.
Alright, what else we. How many apps can we make with this? There is no limit to the number of apps that you can make. You can make one at a time. That's, that [01:05:00] is the limit. Then we have, I, I've seen a few people just asking to make the slides a little larger for tomorrow. 'cause the text was kind of small. Sure. Lemme look at that. I'm just trying to look at the screen to see how that's coming through. I wonder if I can zoom. Oh yeah. Hey, cool. That's too big. Is that big enough for those of you having issues?
Is that gonna do it or do I need to make 'em even bigger?
All right. Alright let me get back up here. We had Derek asked another question. Is Billi a credit based app with Limits [01:06:00] question mark? Yes. It, it, there are two places that it, it uses credits. So first is in message credits and the level of the upgrade that you are going to get. I highly doubt you'll run into message credit issues.
So you'd have to be very actively building apps month after month after month, you know, to run into those limits. But, but there are limits I'll have to look up. The level of access we're giving you is very, is something that other people will pay quite a lot for. But I'll have to find out and get you the details.
But there is a limit of the number of. Building messages. So when you're actually telling the bot to build something that counts as a message credit when you're in plan mode, by the way, it does not, so it does not use your, your credits to be in plan mode. But when you take it out of plan mode and tell it to build something, that's one message, credit it.
And then the other place are what are called integrations. So build, we can actually give you advanced [01:07:00] features, like it can help use ai. Where let's say that your app, you want to use AI to make a report for people. Like maybe it's like, I do a lot of quizzes and assessments where I'll ask people questions and then I have AI at the end kind of give them a, a personalized guide or a step-by-step process based on their answers.
And we use, so you can build AI features into your app and when you use those, it uses something called an integration credit. And I think you have like a thousand integration credits a month at your plan level. So you should be you should be fine with that. Yeah. Yeah, if you're, if your app explodes and you are like, you're having like, you know, tens of thousands of users, you're probably gonna have to upgrade.
But, but at that point I think you might be okay with that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I will say just building as well, I didn't ever, I really encounter any limits until I started build building like other apps and other things as [01:08:00] well. So, yeah. Well, I know you're on like a an app building grind now. Is it, didn't you, you have like 40 apps you're trying to build, right?
Yeah, 40 apps. So like a, a book publishing app kind of thing, but it's like a whole list of tools. So I've been working on those. This person says, is it, oh, before you ask, did they give any feedback on the size? Is that, is this size okay, this new size here? Yep. Looks good. Everyone says yes. Okay, good. A little bigger.
Bigger. Someone said I'm old. Need bigger. I'm with you there. You, I dunno if you guys ever noticed me like doing this squinting at the screen. Yeah. So I'm I'm with you there. All right. I will go for just a little, if I get any bigger than this, it's not gonna fit on the screen, but I'll try to make it just slightly bigger than that for tomorrow.
Here we go. Is it a good idea to give away an app that helps them solve a problem up [01:09:00] to a certain level where they like it and appreciate it, and then offer a paid version that has more features that is quite valuable. You could do that. Yes. I think the important thing to do right now is to focus on what is that one problem and just make a good app related to it.
If you have that in the back of your mind, you can, you can, there, there are ways to do paid additional features. So I know Colin, that's something you're interested in too, right? I think you've talked about that. Yeah. I was thinking maybe doing like not just for nurses and having like an upgrade path for all school, like high school.
I know in high school I would've killed to have something that'd make me quizzes. Oh, that's a great idea. Yeah. Yeah, so it's just a general study guide, so you just take pictures of your materials or upload PDFs or whatever and, and have it generate. That's cool. I like that. Yeah. Does build the automatically self solve and fix any errors in the code that it [01:10:00] uses to build the app?
It does. Yeah. That's, that's another little element that makes build the in my opinion, better than other solutions, is that it will, it will attempt to automatically uncover errors in your app because they will happen. That's the other thing I wanna make this I wanna really point out here. Build is kind of like, it's a very similar experience to hiring real human developers.
You know, I've been through this process with humans a lot over the years, and so typically I'm gonna have to hire a team of developers. I'll have developers with different specialties, and they'll work together as a team to build me an app that's. Usually how I get, you know, in the past how I've done all of my my software tools and boy, that saw is driving me crazy out there.
It's not too bad. You can hear it. It's loud here. And yeah. Anyway timing is perfect. It's either a chainsaw or a gardener's lawnmower. It seems like every time I'm live, they decide to show up. Yeah. [01:11:00] Okay. Where was I going with that? Now I got sidetracked. What were we talking about? The, the errors in the code. Oh yes. Errors in the code. Yeah, errors in the code. I wanna take a chainsaw to them. So it's much like, it's much like, having a human development team. And I can tell you even with some of the, you know, I have senior developers here in the us they're expensive to have, you know, and working on your, my stuff and they're really good.
Like they've got lots of experience. They're really talented guys and they will often get me back features or a completed app and then I have to go through it and I find errors like the best of the best humans will, despite their all the efforts to find and squash the bugs. I'll get it back and I'll be like, oh, this button's not working.
Oh, this feature over here isn't working quite how I wanted to. And then when I do this, I get this ugly error message, right? That, that always happens when I get human built apps. And as of yet, the ais are not better than humans [01:12:00] yet. They might get better, but as of right now, they're, they're about the same.
So when I get an AI built app I will often have a similar experience, right? I'll have a, oh, that button doesn't work, or, this thing is not doing what I thought it should, or, I'm getting this error. And so what building will try to do for you is find those automatically. So it's gonna do, its best to uncover errors.
There are three different approaches that we use to find and then fix errors. Automatically for you. So if you're ever working with Buildy and then it finishes some work, it'll generate a preview, and then you see like a weird message. And then you'll notice in the chat it'll say error detected, you know, and it'll go through trying to fix that error automatically.
And you might even see where Buildy will do that two or three times in a row. Have you ever seen that Colin, where Yeah, I have, it'll, it'll pop that little blue box of text up. Mm-hmm. And that's how, you know it's fixing it. But it usually does a pretty good job. I've never had it lag out or anything on me.
Yeah. Yeah. So that's [01:13:00] one of the areas that we're really focusing on to make the app really useful to non-technical people. Some of the competing apps, you have to be able to find the error, copy and paste it into the chat guide the, the bot on what's going wrong and to get them to fix it. Whereas what we're going for is a much more hands free, automated, you know, bug fixing solution.
Yeah. All right. Next question. Someone says, please also be sure to cover some of the tech details about the app about apps that build, creates, like, what platform and programming language does build, develop in and is build original source, code made available to users. So let me show you here. Lemme there's one more part of that question.
What if we need to self-host as well? How would that work? Okay. So yeah, this is not intended to be a solution for developers, right? So if you're a dev and you [01:14:00] know how to do, you know how to make these apps yourself and host them yourself, that's definitely not what build these for. So, if that's you, it may, this may not be the, the ideal solution for you, but let me show you what, what, what it does.
So first up, you can come over here. So there is a, you'll notice there's a mode that's called developer mode. Okay? By default that is turned off. Okay? So for most people, when developer mode is turned off, it simplifies the user interface. It simplifies how the chat bot talks to you, and it tries to make it a much more like non-technical friendly solution.
But if you come in here under manage, you can turn on developer mode and you'll notice one of the things that happened up here is that now is there, there is a code tab. And so we can go through the code and you can see all of the code. Okay? So all of it is here.[01:15:00]
Now there are also additional features that those of you who are technical minded might be interested in. One is something called backend functions. So, and right now this app doesn't have them enabled, but I just clicked this blue button and I can enable this. And these are, this is, say say, I wanted to make an app that connects to some outside service, what's also called an API.
Well, I enable my backend functions and I can connect to any API any outside service. You know, and by the way, if you don't know what an API is, that stands for application programming interface. And it allows buildy to make apps that talk to other apps is the, the sim like the simplest way to describe that.
So this is where you can activate that. So you can turn on backend functions and, and do that. You can also look at your domain name. I mean your, your your data. So this is your database. So this is not an a, a database app. This app is just a slide [01:16:00] deck, right? So there's no database with it, but if, if it had one, that's where I could see it.
And then there's some other things, like for those of you who are familiar with GitHub, this is a way for you to get a copy of all of your code. That's probably the simplest way to describe it. Okay. And so with that, I'll come back on camera. So those are all the technical features. This is a React app.
Again, I'm probably gonna put everyone to sleep talking about this 'cause. Nobody really knows what all this is. But if, you know, then React is a kind of a, a suite of, how do I do it? It's called a framework, a suite of stuff that helps design and deploy webpages and web apps. And it uses a technology called vi, which is a, like a boy hosting infrastructure that helps you host and serve.
Yeah, I'm anyway, so, I'm, I'm putting everyone to sleep, but there's your answer for the person who asked that. And for everyone else, all of that doesn't matter. Like, you guys don't need to know any of that, [01:17:00] and none of it is important. You will never need to know any of that. You just follow directions, point, click, and chat with the bot and deploy your apps so you don't have to worry about hosting source code files.
And I apologize if I put you to sleep going through all that. But but there you go. All right. This person says, do you suggest making two apps and then split testing with them? I'm assuming they mean two of the same app to split test. I wouldn't, I think I'd just make an app that I feel good about and works well, you know, like that's what Colin did and, and just launch it, you know, deploy it, launch it, get it going.
If you wanna split test different landing pages, you could absolutely do that. You could tell Buildy to make a copy, you know, Hey, take my homepage, make me a copy of it, but change X, Y, and Z. Right? And it'll make a whole new page for you. And you could split test pages that way. But, but no need to split tests like entire apps.
[01:18:00] Yeah.
What other costs, in addition to build these, should we expect to encounter? Well, we cover all your hosting all your tech infrastructure. You will need to buy a domain name so that that's like, I think it's like 1499 a year. And that's it. Yeah. That, that's the whole thing. In our in this free tool flywheel like strategy, we're not doing any paid ads.
You're not, you don't have to spend anything on ads. I mean, you could if you wanted to, but that would be optional and up to you. But yeah, that's it. Yeah. This person says, why do you suggest to only one problem at a time? Because that's what works. Yeah, that's what, that's what works. And it's counterintuitive.
Us humans, we all want to make complicated. Awesome solutions, right? I have the same thing and my developers have to control me, right? I wanna make an app like, oh, let's have it do this, and how about [01:19:00] this? And what about that? Oh, this is awesome. We could make this right. And and it overcomplicates the app.
It makes it more prone to having mistakes and errors, and there's more pieces to manage. And, and it's unneeded. That's the other part is often even though it feels awesome to make a really awesome solution, what I've found when I've done that is all my users end up using one or two features and that, and then the rest of them don't get used.
So, it, it makes it easy to convey in your marketing the one big idea, the one big concept that you help with. It makes it easy to maintain. The app makes it easy all the way around. And so I find my marketing ends up better. It's easier for me to run my business. It's less likely for me to break building, you know, as I'm trying to convince it to make things.
So it just, it works all the way around.
All right. I, and I know you said we're probably going, we're definitely going over this I think the third day, but [01:20:00] someone asked, how can you monetize these apps? Great question. So we're, we are gonna cover in depth on day three but the simple answer is through affiliate offers or optionally, some of you've already kind of are, are interested in this extra paid features.
So now that's where. We have one free feature, we can tack on one or two additional features and pay, have them pay to access them. So that is but that's not needed. You would be, you'll be blown away how much money you can make simply by promoting affiliate offers. Which, if you're not familiar with affiliate marketing, there's thousands of products and services that you can get paid commissions.
And all you have to do is tell buildy, Hey, I wanna promote such and such a product, put a button in my app, or put a link in my navigation, or put a popup window when someone logs in that promotes product X, y, Z. Here's my link and that's it. And now it's built into your app and you're [01:21:00] getting automatic promotion of affiliate offers.
And then the second thing you can do is you're building a list. So that list is yours. It will be it'll be inside your own email marketing tool suite that we provide for you. We give you that. So you'll have your own list. Of all your users and you just log in, type up an email promoting, you know, an affiliate offer and hit send and you'll make money.
And that alone can be a really profitable business. You, you could crush your, if you're trying to get rid of your day job and have a, a, a full-time business, just that model can do that. Now Colin, I know we, we talked, I think you had some ideas of like, stuff that students need and what they'll need in the long term too, you know?
Yeah. And I, and I had some stuff popping into my head when, when we were going through some stuff those Reddit, so subreddits mm-hmm. I could even say, Hey, this is a tool that I use, or this is a tool my wife uses. Mm-hmm. Just drop it in there. And you have automatic users. 'cause people are gonna see that and [01:22:00] just eat it up.
Yeah. And then now every time they've logged in and use your app, they might have affiliate links to, like you talked about PPE equipment and nursing and the supplies and other things that nurses have to buy themselves. Yeah. Just use your affiliate link and now when they buy what they already need, you get commission.
Yep. And then of course, like some of the other ones that, that are might be a little bit obvious. You could link to like courses on how to succeed in nursing school or I'm sure there, there's probably a lot of trainings out there for stuff like that. Oh yeah. I so anyway, every niche has offers that you can load up your app and make money with.
Mm-hmm. Next question, do you have a list of niche ideas for apps? I don't that is where the Ikigai process comes in. So you take I'm gonna on the follow up emails, I'll give you a links to those. And remember, you want to go subscribe to [01:23:00] iNOS, so push button.ai/subscribe. Go subscribe to that free newsletter that will unlock training for Ikigai.
You'll do the Ikigai training, combine with today's training, and that's all you need. I don't recommend that you just go take a random list and pull ideas off of it. I think you need to go through that process of mm-hmm. The, the Ikigai process, which could take 15 minutes. You could go through that, pick your niche market, the process I showed you today, it'll take a bit longer.
But you do these two steps and that's how you pick your, your app idea.
Someone said. What are the costs to upgrade to more credits and integration credits? Well, there are plans that go all the way up to 4 99 a month. I don't think you're gonna need to upgrade, but yeah.[01:24:00]
Someone said most Facebook groups are private, so how can they be searched? Well, that's the thing. They're not, you saw the thousands of examples that I showed you with your own eyes to see. They're, they are searchable.
Someone says, do we have to do anything to access build? How can we or how do we get access? So tomorrow we're gonna set you up. What'll happen will be my team will create your account and then they're gonna upgrade it to this higher level account that that you all get as part of this. That will happen tomorrow.
And what will happen is you will get an email at the same email address that you signed up when you initially [01:25:00] bought the challenge. You're gonna get a confirmation email, you're gonna have to click it. So, I'll explain all this tomorrow, but we're gonna launch your access tomorrow afternoon. You'll just click the confirmation email and then you can log right in and start using it.
Yeah. Andrew asks, do we have an affiliate program for Build e.ai where we can sell it and bring on new subscribers? If so, what is the affiliate payout percentage? So we do have a public affiliate program. It's 25% Commission for Life. And if you go to buildy.ai/influencers we're not really talking a lot about that.
It's there. You can sign up, you can promote it, but we're gonna, you're gonna hear a lot about promoting Buildy as an affiliate in about 30 days from now. So, I've got special training coming and a bunch of other stuff. I'm gonna be I'll be teaching you how to make money, you know, promoting building.
But yeah, [01:26:00] for now, that's where you would go. Push button.ai/influencers. That's where you go. Let's see. We own and get access to our source code, correct? That's important. Yeah. Your source, source code is yours. If you connect your GitHub account, which is a, again, I'm talking for, this is a technical thing.
So for 99% of the people watching this is completely not relevant to you. But for the 1% technical people, you can connect your GitHub account to get a copy of all the source code.
How do you connect the app to your website? It's already connected.
And I don't know if he meant by, did he mean domain, I'm assuming? Yeah, so yeah. It's pretty simple. You either use an existing domain name and point it at our server or you register a domain name with us and [01:27:00] then it's automatically pointed at our servers. So one or the other, and then it just works.
Yeah.
So, and I can show that if you guys wanna see. So you can come in here under manage, go under Domains. And so every app gets a like a temporary domain name like you can see here. And then you can add your own custom domain. So if you already have a domain that you've registered somewhere else you paste it in here and then hit Connect domain and then, or you can there'll be a link in here where you can also register your own a domain name with through us.
And then, by the way, don't forget to hit publish. See the publish button up there? So once you have got your app to where you like it it's in like preview mode. And so to take it out of preview mode and publish it to the world, you definitely have to hit that publish button. Okay. And then that's what [01:28:00] like does the final step to launch your website and, you know, point it at your domain name and make it all work.
But again, I'm getting ahead of myself, why am I teaching this? 'cause we're teaching that tomorrow. I know. It's hard not to though. Everything's so exciting. Yeah. Yeah. I get so excited about the tool like this. Out of every software project I've ever been involved with, build AI is the one I, I'm more excited than anything I've ever built.
And so it's easy to distract me and get me to talk about it. Yeah. Yeah.
Do we need an autoresponder for our email list from giving the app away? Nope. It's. As part of what you got as part of this special offer when you joined, the challenge was a free trial. And you're gonna get a you get a couple of things. One is a upgraded building account that will give you features and extra credits, plus you get [01:29:00] access to our email autoresponder service.
So all of that's included. Does our, does our hosted build these site have SEO built in ai search comp compatibility? Yeah. Well, it, it is SEO discoverable. It is, you can SEO these sites. I think it's the best way to, it has best practices built in, I think is the best way to put it. Mm-hmm. Yeah, there are some future things.
The reason I'm tentative about how I answer that, there are some future changes where we are going to have very specific SEO agents that you can get to come in. Do advanced search engine strategies on your websites, those are not yet available. But we already do the best practices to make sure that you can get listed in the search engines, but we'll have an advanced search engine, but it also an advanced AI discoverability agent that can go through your whole site and [01:30:00] upgrade it and make it so that you can rank in the AI tools as well as the search engines.
Those are, again, those are optional things coming in the future, but they're, they're not ready yet. There was this question about the it said to promote build, you said, go to push button.ai/influencers, and they asked if you meant buildy or if it is on push button. Oh. Yes, buildy AI slash influencers, that, that's where you go to promote buildy and yeah.
Push button.ai. That's where you go to subscribe to iNOS to get the Iki guy playbook. So that's push button.ai/subscribe. That's where you get the iki guy stuff. And to promote Buildy, it's buildy AI slash influencers and somehow I merge the two together. Yeah. If we have a PB site in CE site, can we use these domains?[01:31:00]
Well, it will get rid of the site. So wherever you point the domain is the site that you will have. So if you take the domain name that is pointing to your push button AI website, and then you shift it and point it to buildy, everything you built and push button AI will disappear. And it will only be the Buildy app.
So it's wherever you wanna point your domain names is where is what's gonna show up. Does Buildy have a blog option for our websites? Not exactly like WordPress. No. But you can come into Buildy and at any point tell it to make new pages and create content on your website. So, it's not a fully featured blog like WordPress is though, but you can make new pages through SEO them.
At any time you want. You just chat with it. Say, Hey, I want a new page, and, and it'll make a new page for you. Here's one. Can you create a full site with this as a landing [01:32:00] page? Yes. Well, you can make a full, complete website with this. Yeah. You can make a. You can make a website, you can make a shop.
Like if you wanna sell physical products, have a checkout, a cart landing pages, sales funnels. If you wanna sell and have like one click upsells, it'll do all those things. Our workshop is not about that. Our workshop is specifically focused in on the, the free tool flywheel. So making and giving away free apps, that's, that's what we are talking about here.
But, but Build can do all of those things. Do the websites have payment integration or do we need separate service? Someone said payments are done through Stripe. So, with any, any time you're gonna charge money, you have to have some kind of a, a merchant account or a payment gateway. And for the apps that we build, the simplest one to use is Stripe.
We have a built in integration with Stripe that makes it super simple. Does each app need a [01:33:00] domain name? I mean, it doesn't need one. I, I mean, they're cheap and they help you brand your business, so I recommend you do it. But technically can you go visit the app on the web? You can. Like I showed here if we go here to manage domains, so see this funny domain right there?
I mean, unless you want to give hand that link out to people. Yeah. Which is, yeah. Maybe for personal use, maybe like if they themselves Yeah, exactly. You're making an app for your friend or family, you know, like we had a, one of the, one of our team members made an app for his daughter to study for the, the driver's test here in California.
So for that, you don't need a domain name, but if you're gonna, you know, if you're gonna use this business model and try to build a real business, then you should get a domain. Yeah.
Someone asked can you [01:34:00] make an e-comm site with this? I'm an artist and plan on selling my art slash merch. This would be amazing if it's possible. Oh, so he wants to make a website selling his art and merchandise? Yeah. Oh, absolutely. You could totally do that. Yeah. That's pretty cool. And then someone said, so to be clear, is our site and app hosted on Bilby or can we host wherever we choose? Yeah, we host the site. Yeah. So the hosting is done through us and then it was and then they said if we are already hosting elsewhere with their other hosting stuff. So, so they're, so they have sites that they're hosted elsewhere. Yeah. And they're wondering if they could use those. No, no. Yeah. The stuff you build in Buildy is hosted by buildy unless you're technically advanced enough to take the source code and go deploy it [01:35:00] yourself. Which you could do, but again, you'd have to be technical enough to know how to do that.
Someone asked, can we make an app to promote high ticket sales, including your software? Yes, you absolutely could. In fact, you know, again, we're, we're getting ahead of ourselves by about a month, right? But in about a month from now, I am gonna be teaching some strategies on how to promote, build and make, how, how to, you know, help me launch and promote building.
And we can team up and I'll be teaching you how to do that really well. And one of them is gonna be how to use Buildy to promote Buildy. So, you're thinking exactly along the right lines. Yeah, yeah. There, everyone seems to be excited about that part, so, oh, cool, cool. Yeah. Yeah. We're about we about a month away.
Yeah.
Not seeing any more questions. Alright, cool. Well then I will do a last call. We did run a little bit long [01:36:00] today. We're, we're closing in on two hours, so, oh, I did, I do have something I need to talk about here. Let's go back full screen. So, we have some bonuses from today. These were unannounced bonuses that you know, wasn't part of the initial promises when you bought, but I wanted to throw some extra stuff in.
So first up you have access to the EQ guide training. So to get that you do have to join our free newsletter though. So that's, that's Nick's my son, Nick's newsletter. So when you join it, that's what's gonna give you a special link to, there's a library of training. And then I will follow up with a link directly to our Ikigai video and and written training.
But you will need to be a in Genos member, that's free. So, and it's not a pitch list, so you're not gonna get sold stuff every day. But. There you go. And then two, I have a guide that I'm gonna put together for you. So Colin just so you know, this is a, a, [01:37:00] a surprise bonus for you, but I'm gonna, I'm gonna make this I have it almost done.
So I have a a guide that kind of summarizes some of why the strategy that we're using is important, how, why it's so, important to do this research. And then also I have a list of keywords that help identify pain points. So like today you saw me putting in help, but there, there are literally dozens of different keywords that indicate that there's a conversation where people are looking for solutions.
So I that's also something I'll I'll be sending these to you, Colin, so we can, so you can deploy them for me. Awesome. Yeah. They're asking to make the screen a little bit bigger. Okay. Let me do that. Oh, I'm making the shoot. I'm making my other screen too big. Let's see.
There we go. That better. Oh. Oh, it made it, now it reset the whole window. There we go.
And we do have a couple more [01:38:00] questions. Alright. When I signed up, you mentioned a workbook we would get with the workshop. Will that be included in the email you'll send us today? Yes. So you will get, you'll get an email from us in a couple of hours. So Colin and I actually have some work to do.
We'll take the transcript from today's video, we'll take all the bonuses, plus the guidance and checklists and stuff that you were all promised. All of that will be available through the link that we will send you this afternoon. So just give us a couple hours and then we'll follow up with that. Now the replay for today, this page, this video will be able to be rewatched, so you'll be able to rewind and rewatch today's training after we're done.
And yeah, so that's what comes next. And then tomorrow morning you will get all your links to attend for day two. So that's what's coming next. And then also we have one more question from bj, how I think we went over it a little bit. How do you drive traffic to the app? Ah, we're gonna cover [01:39:00] that in more detail on day three, so we're gonna have ourselves a little bit, but, through giving your app away, you're gonna do it right back to the places where you learned about the problems. So that's why it's a flywheel, right? So we went on Reddit and found problems. We went in Facebook groups and found problems. And then there are other groups like something called school, if you're not familiar with school, with a K, there are school groups depending upon what niche you're in.
And now we're gonna go back to those places and we are going to offer our free tool to them, and that's gonna be the very first place you'll go to get traffic. And and also like Colin is getting users and he has, he's just barely started. Yeah. Like if you, at this point, I think you're getting right outta your, your wife's school, right?
They're the ones joining your app already? Yeah, I'm getting them to join my app. So it's, it's just. Now, like I'm trying to make a take off a little bit. So, yeah. Yeah. So he's already [01:40:00] got his, his first batch of users coming to his app and I mean, and he just launched it. So, and then it's only gonna grow from here, but that's the first thing you'll do to get traffic.
And I'll cover more in detail how you do it, how you make sure it works well on day three. Yeah. Someone asked if there was homework, what should we have done by tomorrow? So I would recommend you pick your niche. So if you haven't decided on a niche yet, use the Ikigai training. That's the bonus thing that's gonna come to you in a couple hours.
So make sure you've done that. Ideally you have at least started the research phase. Chances are, I don't know that everyone's gonna finish the research by tomorrow, and that's okay. But at least get to the point where you have picked your niche and you've started your research. That would be. What shoes should try to get done by tomorrow.
All right. And then at, at some point in the three days, could we please have a list of features or [01:41:00] tech challenges that Buildy can and cannot produce?
I mean, I don't know about what it cannot do, so I think that it, it technically it can do anything. But yeah, so I'm not, I'm not totally sure I'm understanding that question. I think you're, I know I, I haven't ran into anything either that it hasn't been able to create really. Yeah, I mean, it, it depends a lot on if, once you understand how to prompt it really well.
And once you understand like how to use, like if you really wanna get creative and start using outside where you're connecting to outside services and doing advanced stuff, I mean, there's. Very little that I would say it can't do. Mm-hmm. And obviously the bigger and more complicated you make your app, the, the more you're prone to having errors and maintenance issues, but, you know, I don't know what else to say than that.
Yeah, yeah. Alright. That's all I'm seeing for [01:42:00] questions. Okay. I, I missed that. The chainsaw is going so loud. I heard it that time. I am not seeing anything else for question in here. I'm gonna have to turn my, my, my speaker up again. I, I can't even hear you. It's, it's crazy. It sounds like they're next to your window now. No, we're I keep reading the timing of this. It's just so, it's so crazy. And as soon as I shut off the camera, I'll bet you they'll stop. That'll be how it'll happen.
Exactly What'll happen. They're doing it on purpose. They're watching. Yeah, I'm not seeing any other questions though. Okay. Okay. Okay, cool. Well then I think with that, I think we're gonna wrap it up. So everybody will be getting back to you in your email inbox. So watch for that. Give us just a couple hours and then we'll get you all your bonuses, the written materials that were promised for you.
And then tomorrow morning again, keep an eye out for your links to attend day [01:43:00] two. Those of you who have given us your mobile number, we will text you as a reminder. And yeah, I've got some good stuff. Got some good stuff planned tomorrow. Yeah. Awesome. So with that we'll wrap it up. So Colin, thanks again.
Everyone else. See you tomorrow. See you guys.

Niche Research Prompt:
I'm researching the [YOUR NICHE] niche market. I need your help to brainstorm some simple problems I can help people with in this niche by building a web based tool. This will be a simple app and I'm in need of ideas. Here are some of my notes on problems I know people have. Please do your own research as well and give me a big list of simple app ideas.
