5 - Buildy Just 4 Hours Day 5- Bonus Day - Setup An Affiliate Business with Buildy
===
[00:00:00] Daniel: All right, Bill. We're live.
[00:00:03] Bill: Hey. All right. I made it. I'm fashionably late, so I'm glad to be here, though. Thank you Daniel for bringing us live. What a day. What a day. So, pretty awesome. So, Daniel, I don't know, you don't know this, but I've had back to back calls this morning with affiliates, so, which is appropriate since we're gonna talk about affiliate marketing, right?
[00:00:30] I think so. So I actually, I figure I'm gonna start out with a little story about that so people can kind of really understand the power of affiliate marketing. So I'm gonna take over for a minute and Sure. Just chit chat a little bit. So, so you guys can kind of learn like an inside track of just how powerful affiliate marketing really can be.
[00:00:49] And and for me, affiliate and by the way, we'll def, we'll define this for a minute. Affiliates are people who will promote your business for free. But what they're expecting is commission. And you need to pay them good commission. You need to make sure that they can make money and you take good care of your affiliates and you work it out.
[00:01:09] So it's a win-win where they make lots of money, so they keep promoting you, but you also structure it in a way where you make money too. And so affiliate marketing is a really large percentage of the revenue that we make in my businesses. And this is not just in like, you know, our internet marketing, kind of like training on how to build a business and how to make money online and things like that.
[00:01:34] Every business I've ever had going all the way, way back. Into the nineties when I was doing things in the careers and employment space. We had an affiliate program and in fact, the affiliate program generated so much revenue. I had one person, their whole, that was their whole job was just recruiting affiliates.
[00:01:53] And and every business I've done since then, I've had a business that sold information. That freedom business that you heard me talk about in the past, it made $15 million and allowed me to spend time with my kids when they were young. That drove a lot of revenue from affiliates every business I have ever had.
[00:02:12] And so in Buildy, we just launched, you know, buildy Iss a new business for me. And we haven't really had any affiliates. You know, we have a handful of affiliates who have promoted. But we haven't really had a huge affiliate play. And so just very recently I started reaching out and getting in touch with people that, that have traffic and that have the attention of the audience that I want to buy Buildy.
[00:02:38] And so today, for example, I've been doing on calls, so I've been reaching out to them and it's good old fashioned outreach. You know, I find a person who has maybe a YouTube channel or they have an Instagram following, or they have a list. A lot of 'em have a big list. One of the guys that I talked to today, what he does is he spends his own money, buys the traffic, sends it to an offer to get paid.
[00:03:04] And as an example, talking to him today, you know, when he starts to get behind an offer, he can sell a thousand plus every day. So, for example, a thousand new build subscribers coming in at, you know, 24 to $99 a month. So you can do the math on that. Let's say it averages at 80 bucks, you know, that's a pretty simple math.
[00:03:26] 80 times a thousand. You know, that's $80,000 a day in potential revenue that he can bring in. And so I love to spend a lot of time and energy on my affiliates because they're so profitable and it's very low risk, right? So in this case the guy, I'll just say his first name, Tim is his name. Tim is gonna go out, he is going to create some landing pages.
[00:03:53] He is gonna go buy traffic and he's gonna send them to us to see if people will sign up and buy Buildy if that test works well and he can make money. He will scale that up and ramp it up to where he can send us a thousand sales a day. That's an example of one affiliate I talked to today, another affiliate I talked to today.
[00:04:14] He's the world's number one Shopify affiliate. He sells more people into signing up on Shopify than anyone else in the world, and he is very excited about now promoting Buildy as an example. Same thing there. I don't have to pay him any money up front. He's gonna send me clicks. And as long as we can convert those clicks into paying subscribers, he will ramp up and keep sending traffic.
[00:04:43] And he may, he makes millions of dollars in commission every month promoting Shopify right now, and he wants to promote us. So these are examples of what you can do when you have affiliates that can promote you. In the realm of affiliate marketing, most people learn about how to be the affiliate.
[00:05:04] Where the affiliate is gonna, like, if you're gonna be an affiliate marketer, you're gonna go find an offer on a place like ClickBank or somewhere maybe on Amazon. Amazon has an affiliate program. You're gonna find a product or service, you're gonna promote it with your affiliate link, and then you're gonna get paid the commission, right?
[00:05:22] So what we're talking about today is flipping that whole thing around. And so instead, you are going to recruit the affiliates. They're going to promote you for free. And if you can get an offer going that works, that converts, and that sells, they will keep sending you more and more and more traffic. Okay?
[00:05:45] Now the, let's talk about the good and the bad of affiliate marketing. Okay. The good is that it costs you nothing. To get the traffic right. If we go to Facebook ads or we go to Google, go to wherever it's gonna take money to get traffic. And oftentimes the initial traffic you send doesn't quite convert.
[00:06:04] You gotta improve it, polish it, get it, get your offer converting, get your landing pages dialed in, and then it starts to be profitable, right? So in the case of an affiliate, though, you're spending nothing out of your pocket. They're gonna send the clicks, they're going to take most of the risk, and you still have to work really hard for your affiliates to make sure that your, you know, your landing page is really converting that your.
[00:06:30] Dialing in and improving your follow up processes through email and that you're getting a lot, you know, converting a lot of the people from a click to a sale, that is still very important. 'cause an affiliate will stop promoting you if they keep sending traffic and sending traffic and it isn't converting, it isn't converting, eventually they'll give up on your offer.
[00:06:51] So definitely focus on improving conversions to help them make money. And often, you know, like, Daniel behind the scenes has been heavily involved in affiliate promotions too. So he's often the one who, who tags up with the affiliate and the two of them brainstorm out a promotion and Daniel has to help them navigate through that.
[00:07:14] And Daniel, would you say like, you know, my approach as I'm working with you is trying to help you help the affiliate make as much money as possible and when the affiliate. Like on the other side sees that don't you think it makes a difference when they feel like we're on their side to help them make more money?
[00:07:34] Daniel: Absolutely. They're more motivated to, you know, tweak things, improve things, give you more resources and yeah, they're just overall more helpful. I mean, it's a win-win for both, right? So
[00:07:46] Bill: Yeah. Yeah. It's true, right? And I think some people look at affiliate marketing from a selfish perspective where it's like, what can the affiliates give me?
[00:07:54] You know? And because affiliate marketing is cool, it can give you a lot of sales and a lot of commission, but when you really embrace it to where like, how do you really, truly help your affiliates make as much money as possible so that they come back and promote over and over and over again? And that's where the real magic lies.
[00:08:12] And so those are the good things. The bad thing about affiliate marketing is that twofold. One, you have to go find the affiliates. And convince them to promote your offer, and we're gonna talk today about how you do that. And then two, you have to convince them to keep promoting your offer so that this is just once you know, I know for us, Daniel chases people down, you know, at least once a year to try to get them to come back and repromote.
[00:08:41] And they don't just automatically do it. It takes, you know, would you say it is like herding cats a little bit? Daniel?
[00:08:48] Daniel: A little bit, yeah. You just you know, poke 'em until they start paying attention to you.
[00:08:54] Bill: Yeah. So, or you dangle the shiny toy. Look, we got money. We got money. Come get your money.
[00:09:00] Daniel: The second guy.
[00:09:03] Bill: So, yeah, that, that's the journey of it. And the. Recruiting of affiliates is a little bit of good old fashioned legwork. It's not, there's no magic to it. It's finding people that have the audience that you want, finding out how to get in touch with them and reaching out to them.
[00:09:21] Now there are tools, there are tons of tools that are paid tools, so I'm not, I don't have one to recommend or try to get an affiliate commission or anything. You can Google it. There's a lot of tools out there that you can use to go find influencers. You know, you can look for influencer marketing you know, search tool.
[00:09:37] You can Google that or fire up a deep research session with, you know, chat GPT and ask it to help you find some. There's a lot of them and what they'll do is they'll help you find YouTube channels and tiktoks and people on Instagram. That have audiences, and that's probably the first place to go, but you don't limit yourself there.
[00:09:57] You can also go to Google and do good old fashioned research on Google, find blogs. You know, people, other people that are selling in the market are actually some of our best affiliates. They have even have offers that are kind of competitive to some of the things we sell, but, you know, they're happy to promote something that's a good quality product that makes some money.
[00:10:15] You know, one of our, one of our best affiliates a couple of years ago I'll leave his last name out just so people can guess who he is, but first name is Mike. So Mike by far one particular year was at our number one affiliate. I think he sent like, it was over half a million dollars in sales.
[00:10:31] Am I remembering that right, Daniel?
[00:10:33] Daniel: Yeah, you are.
[00:10:35] Bill: Yeah, and you know, our offers were a little bit competitive, but because ours converted so well and he made so much commission, he was willing to just keep promoting and promoting and promoting and it was it was a pretty good pretty good relationship.
[00:10:50] And so, that's what you want to do. And it takes just a little bit of old fashioned. You'll find their contact information, you send them an email or you send them a private message through social media. You keep track of 'em. You can just use a good old fashioned spreadsheet to keep track of these affiliates.
[00:11:08] And you just go through and you reach out. And if they don't respond, you know, jump over for, maybe send an email. And then when they don't respond to that, go to their website and submit a contact us form that you found on their website. If they don't respond there, go stalk them on Instagram and DM them there.
[00:11:25] If that doesn't work, jump over to Facebook, jump over to LinkedIn, and you just keep hitting 'em from different. Channels until they eventually respond. And you're, you are inviting them to team up and partner with you on a project that will help them make money. That's the approach. So, hey, I saw that you serve x, y, Z audience.
[00:11:44] I would love to chat with you about teaming up on a project that could make us both a lot of money. Leave it fairly generic and fairly mysterious. Don't make it a pitch. Don't be like, Hey, I've got the world's greatest product and I'll pay you a hundred dollars in commission. So you don't wanna be overly promotional.
[00:12:01] You just want to, you wanna be very collaborative and very like, Hey, I want to team up with you. I think that if we work together, we can make a bunch of money. You know, hit me up. Let's talk. And that's the general approach that for me works really well in recruiting affiliates. And then you get into explaining your pitch once you've got them engaged in talking to you.
[00:12:22] And I know a lot of people don't like, you know, you go to the, do the whole internet marketing thing so you can avoid people. You don't wanna talk to people, you wanna work on your computer, but there's nothing that replaces a good old fashioned phone call or a zoom session to really bond with and get the commitment from the affiliate to promote you.
[00:12:43] And so it's bit of old fashioned work. So affiliate marketing means you're gonna put that legwork in upfront. You're gonna be doing kind of a sales job, almost convincing them to promote you. And then the ball starts rolling and you start to get momentum and it's worth it in the front. It's front loaded with work recruiting affiliates, but then it gets really awesome once they start be getting activated.
[00:13:06] That's kind of the path at which it goes. And so what I'm gonna show you today is how do you install affiliate marketing system on your website? And I just got through doing this on a site, one of our projects that I'll show you in a second. You know what, I might as well do that now. Let me share my screen.
[00:13:23] I'll show you what that looks like. We're gonna go, oh, I guess I don't need to do voice, so I will. Share the whole screen question
[00:13:33] Daniel: that are on topic. You think we can fill those in right before that?
[00:13:36] Bill: Yeah, we can do some questions. You wanna do some q and a before we dive into the process? Yeah, let's do that.
[00:13:41] Daniel: Just a couple, one from Kathy, which is, are you referring to offers we find on ClickBank or offering Buildy?
[00:13:49] Bill: So what we're talking about here is that your business becomes the offer. So I don't know which niche you are in or what your, what the product or service is that you're going to sell, but it's your business becomes the offer.
[00:14:04] So let's say like, I do that demo all the time of dog training, right? So let's say I have a dog training course and let's say I sell it for $99. My course becomes the offer. And then you go out and recruit affiliates to promote it for you. So I don't know what your niche is, but yeah. Or a service.
[00:14:25] It can be a product. Or a service, anything that you're charging money for. And in fact, I don't wanna make it too complicated today, it's getting a little bit advanced, but you can also get affiliates and pay them for sending you leads. There's a lot of affiliates who love that where you just say, Hey, I'll give you a five bucks for every lead you send me.
[00:14:44] And then that can be a very, depending on your business model, but that's an advanced topic for another day. Here we're talking about people sending traffic to you. They are your affiliates, they are promoting your products or services, which is the offer. And then when they make a sale, you give them a commission.
[00:15:04] That's what we're talking about here today. Does that clarify it?
[00:15:10] Daniel: I think that's a great answer, but Kathy probably will give us some feedback here. I've got another from Scott, which is what happens when an affiliate signs up for build and then creates affiliates themselves.
[00:15:24] Bill: Well, this has got nothing to do with build.
[00:15:26] Right? So build is simply what you are building. Like that's your technical infrastructure. No one's promoting build in the well, in what I'm gonna teach you how to do is what I'm, and might go out and recruit affiliates to promote build. That's me. Right? But what I'm teaching you today is how to recruit affiliates for your business, not build or anything to do with build.
[00:15:48] Now you can all be affiliates of Build if you want to, if you wanna promote, build, and make commissions and become affiliates. Awesome. I would love to have you as an affiliate. But that's not the topic of today's bonus session. Yeah.
[00:16:03] Daniel: Okay, cool. We can dive in.
[00:16:05] Bill: Okay. Awesome. Awesome.
[00:16:07] Alright, so the core thing that you need in order to. Attract affiliates and get them to promote you is a way to track the clicks, track the affiliates, track how much money you owe them their commissions, and make a reporting system so everyone can look at the reports and see how much money they've made.
[00:16:28] Okay? That's the missing piece. And it's that system that becomes the transparency, right? So that the affiliate knows that if they send you a click, it's getting tracked and they can log into a dashboard and see their results, right? So we're gonna build that today. I'm gonna show you how you attach this to your business that you've already built in Buildy.
[00:16:51] Okay? So the prerequisite of being able to do this is that you have a business you've built inside Buildy, and now you come in and you're gonna take the prompt that I give you and the instructions that I show you, and it will build you this affiliate tracking system, and it will allow affiliates to sign up to your offer.
[00:17:12] Promote your offer and get paid, and it's gonna give you a dashboard that you can log into and you can also track how much money you owe them. You can track their progress and it's all, you know, transparent. So on both sides, everybody sees what's happening and so I've got a huge gigantic prompt that again, I'll give it to you.
[00:17:33] We will, we'll follow up and put it in writing so it's a bit big to put in the chat, but I'll show it to you on screen here. Let me get my notepad up. So I don't know if you guys can see that. I'll zoom in a little bit. It
[00:17:52] and Oh no. It might help if I shared my screen, wouldn't it?
[00:17:55] Daniel: Yeah, I was gonna mention that
[00:18:02] Bill: blabbering away and you guys don't even see it. There we go. So this is the prompt.
[00:18:11] It's a bit beefy. There's a lot of work that we're asking Buildy to do, and I'll share it with all of you. So, I'll make sure you get the written prompt and I'll pass that on to you. And so let's minimize and move it away. And right here is a project I just got through installing the affiliate dashboard in Okay.
[00:18:35] And we can see here, this was all the work that Buildy did. So when you first put the prompt in, let's see, where did it go?
[00:18:51] Okay, well, you put the prompt in, you'll paste it in here, and it's gonna be a very, it's gonna be a process for me when I put it into build, it broke this down into five steps and had to do one step at a time. And one of the things that can happen with Buildy two is you may have to prompt it to be like, okay, continue, right?
[00:19:12] So it may finish, I finished phase one, and then you gotta say, okay, cool. Now move on to phase two. And you submit the prompt right in the chat that you see down here. And I can do this live, but it takes a while. So, the process of doing this can take about 15 minutes. And then what you should do is, you'll see here there's a prompter that I said, I, where is it?
[00:19:36] Right here. So once he reports back that it's done. You say, Hey, please check that everything is done for the affiliate project and then continue any work that wasn't complete. And then he is like, oh, I did, I missed some stuff. And then he goes back, looks at for the things he misses and finishes the job and then we're ready to test.
[00:19:56] So you'll just do that in those two steps. You'll, well, those three steps, you submit the prompt, you keep nudging him to keep continuing. 'cause he's gonna break this big, it's a big project you're giving him, and he'll break it down into pieces. And he's actually hand coding and writing all the code that will become your affiliate system.
[00:20:15] And let's see if we have,
[00:20:20] where does he have this? This app has a lot of pages. Here we go. Affiliates. So here's my affiliate recruiting page that he made for me pitching the value. Of becoming an affiliate. And then they can click create account and they create an affiliate account. And then once they get an account, they'll be able to log in and look at their dashboard.
[00:20:51] And so let me see. I don't know if I can look at the affiliate dashboard from this view. Let's see. Yeah, I think because I am an admin, I can't look at the affiliate dashboard but here is an example of what the what it looks like from an admin. So we can see our affiliate here. We can run reports, learn how, see how many affiliates we've got, how many clicks, how many sales, how many commissions.
[00:21:17] And then also you can search and find your affiliates so that you can, you know, come over here and we can edit your affiliate. You can activate, suspend, or deactivate them. So if there's somebody who you think is up to no good and you don't want to promote you anymore, you can suspend or deactivate them when they sign up.
[00:21:34] They're active by default, but you can ban them basically if they misbehave. Then we've got commissions that are owed payouts that you need to make. Then here is where we put our offers in. So we're gonna say create offer, and I'm gonna say $100 per sale. Okay? And I'm gonna say, earn
[00:22:04] a hundred, $100 for every new customer you send us exclamation point. And this is, we have a choice. You can give them a percentage or you can give them a fixed dollar amount, which is what I've done here. So we're gonna change this to 100. And then we can save. Oh, Stripe id, I think
[00:22:25] hopefully it's gonna, let me just enter something here that is a placeholder. Okay. There we go.
[00:22:37] And there we go. So we can see it's active. I can toggle it. I think it's there now it's inactive so people can't promote it. And then now they can, and then when an affiliate logs in they are also able to get their affiliate link. And then they use their link to promote you. And here, let me see something.
[00:22:57] I want to just check something really fast. Let me refresh this. Okay. I want to.
[00:23:11] Okay, well I think I should be able to see the affiliate dashboard. And so this is an example of what happens when sometimes there's an error in the code that is written by build. So the first thing I always do is if something's not working, like you see this blank screen here, I'll hit the little refresh button up here.
[00:23:28] So I'll refresh and see. It keeps saying issue detected every time. And then I might also just do a refresh to the browser just to make sure there's nothing wacky going on with the browser.
[00:23:44] Refresh again. And yeah, and so I'm still seeing the issue detected, so I'm gonna click that and we can have Buildy fix it, you know? So I'm gonna, I'm gonna do that. Let's just see what happens. So I clicked fix with Buildy and now you can see Buildy down here has gone to work.
[00:24:06] And we will see if it can fix it. So this is an example of when something is there's a bug in the code that Billie writes how you deal with it.
[00:24:22] And we'll give it a second here. But now once you've used this prompt and followed these instructions, you've got a full dashboard that you can send, you know, in a recruiting process where you can recruit affiliates, they can sign up and they can start promoting you. Pretty cool.
[00:24:42] Daniel: Yeah, I like jps comment.
[00:24:43] That build to fix it is totally amazing. It's just like a self-repair button essentially.
[00:24:48] Bill: Oh. And there we go. It fixed it.
[00:24:54] Awesome. It is like a miracle. So I see you can come over here. See this is what your, one of your affiliates would look when they log into your affiliate dashboard. This is what they will see and they can come over here and go to Tracking Link and then there's a link, but they can use right there, right?
[00:25:12] And they can copy that and then they can use that to promote. And and like I noticed something that's a little bit weird, it's not using my default domain name, so it's using a, it's using the super devs preview link. So what I wanna see is, let's see if I open it here, it's probably, yeah, see, so I think I don't have time to do it right now, but this makes me see that I wanna test it outside of this preview window and on the published website, but.
[00:25:47] So, I think this weird link will go away and it will switch to my app once I publish this and put it on the domain name. So, let's see if I'm gonna try something real quick. Let's publish,
[00:26:12] and I am hoping I can do this without having to create an affiliate account, but let's give it a shot.
[00:26:21] Okay, so now if I go to,
[00:26:29] I wanna look at it on the main domain name and I think I'm gonna have to, here, I'm gonna create an account. So we'll just do that real quick.
[00:26:45] I, so I created the account, now I'm logging in.
[00:26:56] Okay. What is happening here? Oh, maybe 'cause I already have an account. Oh, shoot. Okay, let's try. How am I gonna do this? Hold on, let me go.
[00:27:16] I'm just gonna make up something here and see if I can make this work. This may also be an issue 'cause I'm logged into the account through another. Account at the same time.
[00:27:31] So we'll do that. That one? Yeah. I think it's because I'm logged in already into my dashboard here. Darn it. Okay. Anyway, I was just trying to test this to, to prove it out. So one of the things too I'll mention to you, when you're building apps inside build like full blown apps you're gonna want to open your project in a tab that's not locked into build.
[00:28:00] And do it and test it, verify that it's working the way you expect, and which is what I should be doing right now. But I'm gonna for speed here. I'm gonna continue on with you guys, but you should always open up your project in a, in a window where you're not logged into, build and do a proper test of any new functionality that you created.
[00:28:19] And then let's say that I went in and tested it and I figured out that this domain is wrong. All I gotta do is just again, speak in plain English and tell, build here or say something like, I tested and it seems to be using the wrong domain name in the affiliate dashboard link it's using. And then I would put the wrong link using this link
[00:28:56] when it should be using. And the other link was
[00:29:09] that, that's the real link. Done, done, done. Done.
[00:29:15] Like that, and I would submit it. Okay? But only do that after you've tested the app in a separate browser to verify if the functionality's working the way you expect. And if it's not, you just come over here and talk to it, and you give it a specific instructions. But be pretty, just simple. Don't try to over technical it or don't go to chat GPT and ask for help from chat GPT on how to prompt it.
[00:29:39] Just talk in plain English, but try to give it specifics on what you've uncovered. I think this is, this probably working just fine, it's just that I'm logged into the you know, this preview right here is not the permanent domain that the website's under,
[00:29:57] but but there we go. So now once you've used this prompt that I'm gonna give you, you'll have a, an affiliate dashboard. You'll have an affiliate. Sign up page where you recruit them like this one, and, oh, I'm already logged in as an affiliate. So, anyway that's what you'll have and you'll have everything you need now to to be able to go recruit affiliates, activate them, and get them promoting.
[00:30:23] And so with that we'll do some more Q and a.
[00:30:26] Daniel: Yeah. One since you're showing the dashboard, somebody where is this? Here, is it Kathy? Kathy wanted to know how and where do we access the dashboard?
[00:30:37] Bill: So you can access it in the Buildy preview like I am here by just clicking. You can access any page on your website or your app by clicking in the preview window.
[00:30:47] This little thing here, you can see these are all my pages in this project. It's quite a few of them. And you see here where it says affiliate dashboard. I just click that.
[00:30:58] Daniel: All right. And JP is saying, is it an affiliate dashboard for each project or is it a generic affiliate program for every business we have?
[00:31:08] Bill: Yeah. It's per the project. So we just installed this. We be, we basically could got buildy to hand code an entire affiliate program on this project. So it's unique to this project.
[00:31:22] Daniel: All right. Tony wanted to know, Tony wanted to know how do you evaluate how much you can afford to pay affiliates?
[00:31:31] Bill: You know, that there's a little bit of wiggle room to decide that, and so what I will often do is I will start out paying as much as possible.
[00:31:42] So I might, in beginning to recruit affiliates, I might just straight up tell them, Hey, if you promote for the first month, I'll give you 80% commission, a hundred percent commission. You know, or I pay 50% commission, but I'll give you a bonus. So I try to make it outlandish and exciting for someone to start, but then also making sure they understand that later the commissions will go back to normal.
[00:32:08] And it depends on your business model, right? If you're selling let's say you're selling a course, let's, I'll just use that. So let's say you're selling a dog training course that doesn't cost you anything, right? There's no hard cost to fulfill a dog training course. You could take a hundred, a thousand, 10,000 customers.
[00:32:29] Your cost to actually let them have access is the same. For a product like that, you should give affiliates a high commission, meaning like 50% commission. Right. That would be an example of a high commission. If you have a product or a service where you have hard costs, you can't afford that, right? You couldn't afford to give a 50% commission if you're selling a, I don't know,
[00:32:56] a haunted coffee mug, right? So you have a hard cost to get this manufactured shipped, and you gotta fulfill it and pay for your own shipping when you send it to the customer, and you couldn't possibly give 50% commission. And in the case of selling this mug, it would depend on my profit margin. So let's say I sell the mug for, let's call it $29.
[00:33:19] Maybe I'm only making five bucks in profit off of that mug. So I couldn't give away a very high commission. And this is why in physical product affiliate marketing, you'll see much lower commissions. You know, like it's not uncommon to see Amazon give a one or a two 3% commiss. Right, because there's just not a lot of profit in the those items.
[00:33:42] But, so the more profit you have, the more commissions you should give to your affiliate as it is. And it's a balancing that you have to make that decision for your business. But realize digital products cost nothing to fulfill once you've made them. And so you can be very generous with your commissions.
[00:34:01] And I would say general rule of thumb for physical products is gonna be you know, I see a lot of people paying 10% on physical products. It's pretty unusual to see a 20 or 30% commission on a physical product that's highly unusual. On digital products. Typically you're gonna see 30 to as much as a hundred percent commission.
[00:34:23] You know, one strategy a lot of people do is they'll have what's called an ascension business, where you start by selling an inexpensive product. And then you have upsells to much more expensive products in the, what's called the backend. And if you have that, you can give a hundred percent commission on the front end and just give the affiliate to everything.
[00:34:43] Let them make as much money as possible. And then you then end up upselling those clients. You know, maybe you, they buy a course from you and then you get them to book a call and buy some consulting or services or something like that. Well, you just give away a hundred percent of that digital product 'cause it costs you nothing and it becomes like a lead generation to sell your more expensive thing.
[00:35:07] Does that make sense? So it's all about strategy on what you're trying to accomplish, what your, with your business, how much profit you're making, what can you afford to give away. So there's not a one size fits all answer. But I hope that helps. But that's there you go.
[00:35:23] Daniel: Yeah, that's a great answer.
[00:35:24] Thank you. JP wants to know regarding the prompt. That big prompt. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Grab that and stick it directly into Buildy.
[00:35:33] Bill: That's right. Grab. Stick it right into, build right into the chat panel, you know, down in the bottom left. Paste it in there and then just hit submit. There's one little part of it you're gonna wanna edit.
[00:35:44] Let me just bring it, bring it back. One second here. Where did it go?
[00:35:53] There's a part in here where I put how much commission
[00:36:00] right there.
[00:36:04] So you'll wanna modify that. I'll make this a placeholder with some brackets in all caps that you can see, and you might wanna say 10% commission or 20, 25%, or $20 or $50. Whatever you want to offer you just switch that out. Oh, wait a minute. This is the wrong place, not this one. Sorry. It is this one, the affiliate registration process.
[00:36:32] So I wanted, I told Buildy to make a landing page for affiliates and tell 'em that they can earn a hundred dollars from every sale. This is the spot you want to edit. Sorry, that last one is not correct. This is the place, 'cause this is what it's going to use to put the copy on your affiliate recruitment page.
[00:36:52] So change this to whatever it is you are going to offer in your affiliate program.
[00:37:00] Daniel: Awesome. Robert's asking where do we get the prompt?
[00:37:05] Bill: We're gonna send it to you. I just wrote it today. I took the prompt and I wanted to make it bulletproof for you. And I did that today. So we will we'll get it sent to you. I am not sure where we'll put it. I'll work that out with the team and get it to you today.
[00:37:23] Daniel: Alright, and he's got another question. If we build an app, is it basically a website or a progressive web app?
[00:37:33] Bill: So it's a traditional web app. There and talking about progressive web apps, this is a little bit technical, a little bit more advanced than we're gonna cover today, but that is another option as well. But right out of the box, buildy will easily make a what's called a web app. And those web apps are mobile friendly by the way.
[00:37:54] So you can see, for example, this one this mobile app that I have. Lemme go back here. This is a project management app. And if we switch to a mobile device. It is mobile friendly. They have to access it on their browser. But let me show you something as well. 'cause also you can still, even though it's a web app, that icon right there on my phone is this is this project.
[00:38:22] So if I open it, it's gonna open up
[00:38:29] my project management tool, right? So that's the homepage that sells it. So it's a web app that works on mobile, and you can still, you know, have your users put the icons on the desktop very easily.
[00:38:45] Daniel: All right, we're all caught up on questions.
[00:38:47] Bill: Okay. Awesome. All right. Well then. What I'd like to cover is I want to quickly summarize your action items to put this all into work. So step one is to think through your products and services and look at what kind of profit you have available and work out how can you be as generous as possible to your affiliates and decide what commissions you wanna pay.
[00:39:14] And then also spend some time thinking about the value of what you offer. Because affiliates are not always just interested in money. They're also interested in how. If they wanna provide value and help and they wanna do the right thing for their audience as much I've focused heavily on money today, but that is often just as important or more important to many affiliates, that they take good care of their audience, especially if they're on social media.
[00:39:43] Like, you know, they have a YouTube channel, they want their followers and subscribers, and they wanna take good care of them and give them a good experience. So think through also the benefits of why promoting your offer is good for their audience, so you can be prepared on how you want, how you're gonna present it.
[00:40:00] Okay. So get clearer on the commissions you're going to offer and the benefits of why someone should promote your affiliate program to not just about making money, but also how is it gonna be good for their audience by promoting you. Okay. Then take the prompt. The next action item is to take the prompt that we have provided.
[00:40:23] Paste it into Buildy and then remember, it's a long prompt. This process could take a half an hour, right? And you might need to prompt build a few times. So you put the big prompt in, it may only finish part of the work. So then you go, oh, Buildy, continue keep going. And then it will, you might have to do that as many as three times.
[00:40:43] And then at the end it'll say, okay, I'm done. I've finished the project. It's ready to go. Do one final prompt and say, Hey, can you just double check and make sure everything is finished and the app is live and ready to go. You know, for my affiliate project. Submit that as your final prompt and then it will be live.
[00:41:04] Don't forget to hit publish on the, on your app when you come in again at the top right there. Hit publish and share, and then the publish button to make sure that it you know, it goes to your public website, not just in your. You know over here is in your development environment. That's how you get it to your public website for the world to see.
[00:41:27] Then go out and start recruiting affiliates. The first step is to do research. You could do it the old fashioned way, which is actually how I like to do it. You know, maybe I'm a little weird, but I just like to go manually, go do research and go find affiliates in my niche that I like and I'm gonna, what I personally will, would do is go subscribe to a bunch of YouTube channels in my niche and then watch and see what gets recommended to me and subscribe to even more.
[00:41:57] I would jump over to TikTok and follow a bunch of things in my niche that are. Potentially, you know, potentially affiliates do the same thing on Instagram. I might do some Googling and go, you know, subscribe to some email lists and really like, immerse myself. So I'm gonna be surrounded by all of these potential affiliates, and then I would start to make my list and I would start to take every channel, every every blog, every newsletter, every everything that, that I now am exposed to.
[00:42:28] And not only am I being bombarded by information from my niche and learning about my niche and seeing what the audience likes I'm finding the good affiliates. And so I make my list, you know, I put the YouTube channel, I put the blog, URL, I put the whatever I find from each affiliate and then I start to do some good old fashioned research.
[00:42:47] You know, usually they're gonna have an about us page on their website or a contact us page. Sometimes they'll just list their phone number and email address right there. They're gonna have socials. So you want to click through and go look at them on Instagram, follow them. You wanna find them on LinkedIn.
[00:43:04] If they have a LinkedIn profile, you know, you wanna follow them everywhere. And then proceed to start reaching out. You know, you can do one channel at a time and start reaching out to them, explaining to them you've got this opportunity for, to collaborate and work together to serve their audience really well and make some money at the same time.
[00:43:24] Now, realize this process of recruiting affiliates is a sales job. So you will get rejection, you're gonna get people who ignore you. They don't respond at all. You're gonna get people that are gonna be like, sure, pay me $5,000 and then I'll promote your stuff. Like, you're gonna get that. You're gonna get people that'll be like, oh, cool.
[00:43:44] Let's, you know, let's go jump on a call. Let's jump on Zoom and talk. And now you got your shot and you can convince them to promote your offer. And it's, by doing this, it takes a little bit of work. It can take a little bit of time, and then you're gonna end up with an army of affiliates promoting you. Now there are other things that you can do.
[00:44:05] There are affiliate directories that you could get your affiliate program listed in. You can just Google that Google affiliate directories. And you know what, I'll do that right now just to show you what's out there. So we'll say affiliate directories.
[00:44:27] Here's one right here. These usually have a way to, oh, there we go. Up here at the top, submit your affiliate program. They are asking for money. So this one is a paid one, so you could pay for that. I don't know if that's a good value or not. Here's a directory that you probably can submit to somewhere.
[00:44:53] Here's a big list of directories.
[00:44:58] So, and you just go through and spend some time finding them and submitting, okay, here's a Reddit thread with somebody who made an affiliate directory.
[00:45:12] There's a submit button there, so you could submit your affiliate program there. Now, don't rely on submitting to these directories as your only way of getting affiliates. Okay? And then what I will do is I will follow up as part of the bonus that you got from being part of this today. I'll follow up with a list of directories.
[00:45:34] I'll have my team pull up a list for you of different affiliate directories that you might submit to. And we will also give you a guide on recruiting affiliates. And so I'll be providing you with that and as written materials that will come separate from this video. And that's just an another extra bonus to help go the extra mile to help you succeed.
[00:45:56] So I'll provide you with both of those things. And then Daniel, if you could make a note of that so we can, 'cause I often promise these and forget what I promised. So Daniel, you hold me accountable and make sure that we get the affiliate directory list and a guide on how to recruit affiliates and launch their affiliate program.
[00:46:15] So we'll do the both of those as well. And then once you're got affiliates recruited, the next action item is to get them promoting more. So once they've promoted, hopefully they've made some sales, and you can go back to 'em and go, Hey, how else can you promote? You know, can you do a video a month and keep promoting?
[00:46:36] You know, or maybe talk to 'em if they have an email list, maybe they're gonna mail that once every month or every quarter, and you just work in, how can you start to get repeat recurring promotions out of those same affiliates? And so that's where we made tons of money, is when we get a little stable of our super affiliates.
[00:46:55] And it doesn't take many. You can have five to 10 of your super affiliates that are constantly promoting you. You know, every month they're doing a promotion and they constantly make sales. And that's where you want to get to. That's what you're building towards as you do all of this. And so, there you go.
[00:47:14] Now I, as an example, so I told you guys about somebody I was talking to. Tim is who I was talking to earlier today. And I've known Tim a long time. He's someone who I met long, long ago, and he is like the behind the scenes guy behind what at the time was the number one ClickBank launch record breaking on ClickBank.
[00:47:35] They launched a product. And I don't know, Daniel, do you remember way back there was a product called Mobile Monopoly? Do you remember that?
[00:47:45] Daniel: Actually I do.
[00:47:47] Bill: Yeah. So Tim was the behind the scenes guy who recruited the affiliate army, and I think they did something like a million and a half in sales of mobile monopoly in like a week.
[00:47:59] At the time, it was the record breaking launch on ClickBank. And it was all driven by what I just told you guys. So, Tim would, you know, I know into all the inside details of how he did it, and he did exactly what I'm telling you right now. He just built a big list of potential affiliates and worked that list, and I think he st it took him 90 days of grinding on that list, getting people on board, getting people excited about promoting, and then they did the big launch and kicked it off with a bang.
[00:48:32] So, and again, all of the sales, all of the record breaking income came only from what I just taught you how to do here. There was no other special magic trick. That's exactly what he did to set that record. And and now you know exactly how to do it too. So, do we have any other questions?
[00:48:54] Daniel: There, yeah, there are a couple, I think you just addressed some of them right now in that last section from Robert. He says, where are some databases we can find affiliates? And I'm gonna hold you to that list of databases. And it was actually something I was thinking too, while you were talking about them.
[00:49:12] Like, that'd be a really cool resource for somebody to use to go and fly when they're ready. So definitely.
[00:49:22] Bill: Oh, cool, cool. Yeah, we're having that weird thing, I think, where your noise suppression is messing with your mic. So I think I heard most of that though.
[00:49:29] Daniel: I'll shorten it and I'll talk a little louder.
[00:49:31] Hopefully that helps. But Robert was asking, where are some databases where we can find affiliates and we're gonna be providing that for them.
[00:49:40] Bill: Yeah. And it's not really a database where you find affiliates, it's where you can list your affiliate program and then they find you. It's kind of how it works.
[00:49:48] Yeah, I think if you wanna find a list of affiliates, that's a thing where like, this is gonna cost money, what I'm about to tell you. But there are places, let me pull the browser back up and show you. Let's see. I think I saw one. Is it here?
[00:50:15] Okay, this is a different thing. So some of these, well, you can pay money to get an ad or get an email drop to get emailed to their to their subscriber list. So I, I know an example of one who used to do this was offer Vault. I don't know if they still do, but offer Vault. Okay. Advertise right there.
[00:50:41] So, you can buy additional listings, additional advertising, and even a dedicated email to their list. Okay. So if you're looking for like a database of affiliates, this is how, you know, you can get in front of that by finding these directories. So I'm gonna give you the list of directories, and if you want to pay, you can have proactive, have them email your offers and reach out to their affiliates.
[00:51:05] But for the most part, it's about just getting your product listed in their directory, and then the affiliates will find you.
[00:51:17] Cool. Next question.
[00:51:19] Daniel: All right, Robert had another question, which was with the eight week coaching program, when does that start?
[00:51:27] Bill: The coaching program starts immediately. So the you'll be invited. The team will reach out to you. They'll get you onboarded, but it happens every week in school.
[00:51:36] And here, you know what, I'm gonna show you that in a second. Let me I'm Googling something else. I might, they're, so, if you also Google affiliate program submission is gonna also help you find places you can submit your affiliate program. So now let's go into school. I'm assuming everyone here is in school.
[00:52:00] Oh, I'm in a incognito browser. Let me just get in my regular browser. One second.
[00:52:14] Anyone here? Not yet. In school. It's okay if you're not, I won't be mad, but I'm assuming everyone here is in there.
[00:52:28] Yeah. Are you all here? Well see that AI success accelerator right there. That's where it's, that's where it's held. And you'll be invited, you'll be added to the list of people approved to go in. But you will need to access it in school. So, make sure that you get in there.
[00:52:47] Daniel: Okay. Yeah. He has a second part to that, which is if I'm not ready for another two to three weeks how do I do that?
[00:52:53] How do I manage that?
[00:52:56] Bill: I do not know. We didn't really prepare for that as an option. Reach out to support, see what they can do to help you out. I,
[00:53:05] Daniel: okay. JP asks, are the affiliates appreciating videos we would give them for their promotion efforts?
[00:53:14] Bill: Yeah. The more creative this is something that I'll I didn't cover, which very perceptive of you.
[00:53:21] The more help you give them to promote, the more likely that they'll actually do it. Daniel, you can testify to this too, right? Like I think for a good number of our affiliates, you end up writing all of their emails that they send, right? You do it for them almost.
[00:53:38] Daniel: Yeah. Yeah. It speaks to exactly what JP was saying.
[00:53:41] The more you can give them, the easier you can make it and they're more willing. It's just 'cause it's ready.
[00:53:49] Bill: But that depends on your skillset. You know, if you can create some good materials. In our case, we write a lot of. What are called swipe emails so that they get to like copy and paste and go use.
[00:54:00] So the more like emails you can send example articles. The one thing about articles is you don't really want people copying and pasting the same article all over the place, so that, that could be a little bit difficult. But any ideas, video outlines, example videos the more stuff you can help make the creative process easy for your affiliates, the more likely that they will promote.
[00:54:24] Absolutely.
[00:54:27] Daniel: All right. Robert wants to know is the app we create in build the how do we pay the Phil? Do I have to do it manually?
[00:54:36] Bill: Yeah. So you'll pay them yourself. What will happen, bill will collect their payment information, whether if you wanna pay them by PayPal you can tell Bill. Would you put the prompt in that?
[00:54:48] I'm gonna give you, you can specify if you have a preference of how you wanna pay them. PayPal's very convenient. That's one way to do it. But you can also, heck, you could send them a paper check in the mail if you want to do and then Buildy will the app that you make in Buildy will request that information from the affiliates so they can put in their payment information and then you then go and process the payment yourself manually.
[00:55:15] Daniel: Alright. Mitch wants to know, is it possible and can it be profitable to seek affiliates for low ticket under 25 bucks products?
[00:55:24] Bill: Yes. So my $15 million business I was telling you about earlier that we sold $11 products. It was an $11 a month product and affiliates were a big part of that. It all depends.
[00:55:38] If you have a cheap product, it's better convert really well, right? But if you have a really high ticket, expensive product, percentage wise, it can convert less, but you're gonna still earn your affiliates a lot of money. So the cheaper it is, the the higher you need it to convert to make affiliates be interested.
[00:55:56] And I by the way, I would recommend in that if you do have an inexpensive product, that you figure out how to add some kind of backend where you can earn more. That backend could be a higher ticket product of your own, or the backend could be you promoting affiliate, you know, other people's affiliate offers.
[00:56:19] There is a strategy that we call efficient affiliate chain reaction, where I'm probably, what's that?
[00:56:30] Daniel: Commission chain reaction,
[00:56:31] Bill: commission chain reaction. Thank you, Daniel. Commission chain reaction. And at the risk of distracting everyone here, I'm, I'll give it to you in a nutshell. You have an inexpensive product.
[00:56:43] Call it 49 bucks, maybe even 99 bucks. Could be 27, whatever inexpensive product you give away a hundred percent commission, and your whole goal is to build a list of buyers. That's all you care about. You're not gonna make any money. In fact, you'll probably lose if you give the affiliate a hundred percent commission.
[00:57:03] You're gonna lose a little bit of money on every buyer who joins your buyer list. But that's okay because what you're gonna now do is you have a list of proven buyers in that niche, and all you do is follow up with them now through email and you promote other people. You get affiliates to promote you, which sets off this chain reaction, and now you promote other affiliates and you earn all the more, even more commission.
[00:57:32] So, that it's again to try to clarify this. You make a course, a training, a video, something that costs you nothing to fulfill. You give away a hundred percent commissions to your affiliates. You build a list and then you promote anything you want to that list. And that is a really powerful I have done that and made like a fortune doing that.
[00:57:58] So, another powerful thing you can do with an affiliate program.
[00:58:03] Daniel: Kathy wants to know and I like her question, can I use buildy to promote programs I am an affiliate of?
[00:58:11] Bill: Yes. That's separate than what we're doing today. Today is about you having an affiliate program, but. Yeah, absolutely. You can use Buildy to, to promote other affiliate offers.
[00:58:20] You can build a project, build a website, just to, you know, generate leads and promote affiliate offers. Absolutely.
[00:58:30] Daniel: Alright. Mary wants to know, can buildy create an image bot for videos we want to post or, and bot AI of me?
[00:58:40] Bill: I don't quite understand that question.
[00:58:42] Daniel: I think I think it's I would assume anyway, Mary can clarify that it's like a agentic work. Can it create a bot that could create images, forming videos, and even a rep, a replica of me?
[00:58:57] Bill: Well, you're not gonna be able to like, use build to create a build unfortunately. Build is way too advance of a program. If you think about it, it took our developers. Our developers use AI to develop, and it's taken them, you know, six plus months to to build this. So, I suppose if you wanted to dedicate the next six months every single day coding, maybe you could get something approaching it.
[00:59:23] But yeah, don't expect to just build a, build the app, you know, in like an afternoon with, within build. But what I would say is you can make an app that makes images that's pretty easy to do. You can make an app that writes articles and reports and courses and things like that. That's pretty easy to do.
[00:59:44] We don't currently have video, but we will have it later. Video is expensive. I'll tell you, you will end up having to pay per video yourself. It is probably gonna cost five to $10 per video that you output if you want to do video. But the video models are really expensive. I mean, look, OpenAI, who has billions of dollars, they got huge deep pockets.
[01:00:08] Some of the world's largest investors on the planet give AI money, right? And they couldn't afford to keep their video tool running. I think they were losing $15 million a day. If I remember the article I read video is expensive. AI video is very, very expensive. So we will be adding it. Just expect to have to you'd have to pay every time you generate a video.
[01:00:33] Once, once we launch that.
[01:00:38] Okay.
[01:00:38] Daniel: Stop seeing so many cat Ninja videos circling out there.
[01:00:44] Bill: Yeah, you could make a Cat Ninja app for sure. That makes Cat Ninja. The images and, but later videos. Yeah.
[01:00:53] Daniel: Alright, cool. JP wants to know if I have a way to create videos, podcasts, articles, blog posts for build's, crowd. Would that be something you want me to share?
[01:01:07] Bill: So if you, so I'm, I feel very, I feel very confused today. I'm slow with the question. So can you ask that one again?
[01:01:18] Daniel: So, JP has a way to create videos, podcasts, articles, blog posts for build's crowd, essentially, I think for our crowd. Would that be something you want me to share?
[01:01:31] Bill: Like for you to recruit to as an affiliate? So you wanna promote Buildy as an affiliate and use those kinds of promotional materials. I, if that's what you're saying, that would be cool. Sure.
[01:01:45] Daniel: Yeah, we'll see if we get some feedback from him. But that was my understanding of it too, if they've got resources for
[01:01:51] Bill: them.
[01:01:51] Yeah. I mean, if you are interested in being an ability affiliate, then you wanna promote that way by, by educating and enlightening people with stuff like that. That would be a great way to do it.
[01:02:04] Daniel: All right. In the meantime here we go. One from Robert is he's talking about following the affiliates. They have them, we give them a code that customers have to put in or does
[01:02:17] Bill: Your mic is being weird again.
[01:02:19] Daniel: Yeah. I don't know what that's about. I I'm like almost, you know. Super close to the mic now.
[01:02:25] And
[01:02:25] Bill: what's funny is every time I point it out, it goes away as you like, I'll say, Hey, your mic's being weird, and then you start talking again, and then it's totally fine. So,
[01:02:36] Daniel: alright, well, Robert was saying he's curious about how we follow the affiliate. So do we give them a code? Does Bill to give them a link?
[01:02:43] And if Yes,
[01:02:44] Bill: yeah, bill gives them a link. Yeah. So the app that you're building that Buildy will make in on your project, on your website. It gives them a link. If you remember here, I'll show you let me show you right there.
[01:03:01] So when you're logged in as an affiliate, see this thing that says tracking links, this is where your affiliate gets their link right there. So they copy this and then every time they send someone to this link, it tracks back to them. So any sale that comes after someone clicks this link, and by the way, what it'll do is it'll track for 30 days.
[01:03:23] So it'll anyone who clicks this link, it's gonna track them for up to a month. And if they buy, it tracks back to the affiliate who use this link. And what I'm looking at right now, just for also clarity, this is what an affiliate sees when they log into their affiliate dashboard.
[01:03:50] Daniel: Alright Eli says, does Buildy have an affiliate program for us to join and promote Buildy?
[01:03:57] Bill: Yes it does. So if you go to buildy.ai/influencers, you can learn all about it. Here, I'll, I, and since we have our chat here, I can pop that into the chat. We'd love to have you as an affiliate. That'd be awesome.
[01:04:32] Cool. What else we got?
[01:04:37] Daniel: Okay, just going back to Mary's question, 'cause she did provide some feedback, which was, can she build a, like an image bot or a video bot, and she's, she clarified with that AG agentic behavior is what you're looking for.
[01:04:56] Bill: I missed the last couple words you said there.
[01:04:58] Daniel: She's looking for AG agentic, an age agentic skill, right.
[01:05:02] So it just handles it on its own.
[01:05:06] Bill: Well, an agentic skill would be used in something like Claude Code or Open Claw or something. That's not really a buildy thing. So that's what I'm con getting confused about. But could you make an app that helps people make images? Sure.
[01:05:22] Daniel: She does also say, so instead of an emoji, it's me talking.
[01:05:30] Bill: I'm not, I don't know why I'm not understanding the question. I,
[01:05:37] Daniel: okay, well, we'll get some feedback here and yeah. And we'll continue. Okay. Joan asks, what is the referral you get for promoting Buildy? Do you get credit? Okay.
[01:05:50] Bill: If you promote as an affiliate, you get commissions. So you'll be getting commissions. So you get 25% of every, for the life of that of whoever you refer.
[01:06:00] If they join Buildy, you get 25% of their of the sale every month. So if they buy, you know, what's that math? It's like 24 and some change. If they buy a 99 a month plan times 0.25. Yeah. It's $24 and 75 cents you would get every month if you referred a Buildy Pro customer. And then we'd make payouts monthly.
[01:06:24] So you would get paid for everyone you refer to us. That signs up.
[01:06:30] Daniel: Alright. JP gave some more context. He said the idea is that I produce promotional material for your ability clients so they can use these assets to promote their own products. Oh,
[01:06:42] Bill: got it. Got it. Well, yeah, I mean, we're kind of already doing that for our clients.
[01:06:47] So I'm not sure, I'm not sure how to answer that question exactly 'cause we're, so, we already have options available for them. But yeah, I'd have to, I'd have to chat with you some more about that, jp.
[01:07:03] Daniel: All right. Eli says, where can we get more credits for Buildy and how much, or for Buildy and how much does that cost?
[01:07:11] Bill: You upgrade, right? Well, if you're here, that means you have a pro account, so you have a lot of credits. We don't currently have a way to buy like, top-up credits. We just make you upgrade to the next tier up.
[01:07:21] Which for you, that would be agency. So that's quite a big jump. But are, have you used all your pro credits? That would be unusual? Because we try to give a lot of credits and make it almost impossible for someone to run out.
[01:07:40] Daniel: Alright, cool. We're caught up on questions.
[01:07:43] Bill: Fantastic. Cool, cool. Well, invitation. I would love to have, you know, any referrals you guys want to send our way to join build. You know, if you wanna spread the word in social media or whatever personal referrals you wanna make, use your affiliate link.
[01:07:59] Just go sign up at buildy.ai/influencers. That wasn't my intention for today. You know, today's supposed to be all about you and you helping you have an affiliate program. But since it's, since we're talking about it, I'd love to have you as an affiliate. You can take, get your link and you can share it in person.
[01:08:16] Like if you have a personal referral you wanna make you wanna share it with businesses that you know. Share it on social media. And then of course any referral you make that results in a commission goes straight to you. We pay it out monthly and yeah, I'd be tickled to have you promoting us.
[01:08:32] That'd be awesome. And so what we'll do now is we'll do a final round of q and a and then I'll remind you, I'm gonna follow up with the prompt. You'll get the written prompt. You're gonna get a list of directories that's won't come today. I have to, that has to be made. So we're gonna make a list of directories for you.
[01:08:49] And then I'm gonna give you a guide that's like a, your set of action items to follow just in a step-by-step format of what we talked about today. And I'll get all, I'll get those two things need to get made and they'll get to you in the next few days from when we recorded this. But the prompt is ready and I'll work with Daniel to get that to you right away.
[01:09:10] And, I think that's it. So yeah, we'll do last round of questions. We'll do final q and a,
[01:09:16] Daniel: I guess. Bill?
[01:09:18] Bill: Yeah.
[01:09:18] Daniel: It was on the back of my mind already and I was just waiting for you to spring it, but Andy actually mentions it. So he says what happened to the website competition?
[01:09:29] Bill: Oh yes. Then we have to launch that today, so we'll go launch that in the school community today.
[01:09:38] Yeah.
[01:09:41] Daniel: Okay, cool. Yeah. Well then
[01:09:42] Bill: so as soon as we end off the air, Daniel I'll chat with you about that too. So, 'cause I do wanna mail that and we'll work that in. I'll work that out with you so we can send an email and announce it. So we'll post, I'm gonna post it in the school community and then we will start that contest.
[01:10:00] And I think we'll run it. Through, should we run it through Monday night? Does that, that gives enough time for everyone to submit and vote and everything? What do you think?
[01:10:11] Daniel: Yeah. You know, I'll point out that the I think the window or the timer for the replays is set to Sunday, but that should give everyone time on Monday to review and pick and choose and vote.
[01:10:22] So, yeah.
[01:10:23] Bill: Okay. Okay. So, is that cool if we we'll post the contest today and I think we will on Monday will be the day we freeze the voting and draw the winners. Does that sound good to you guys? I'll let you help me vote.
[01:10:38] Daniel: Yeah. Maybe we can recap what they need to you know, what's the checkpoint they need to reach in order to be part of that?
[01:10:46] Bill: Okay. So, yeah, to be part of that, we're gonna post it in school. And what you want to do is take all the training from this lot, the four day workshop that we did. You want to implement as much of it as you can. Ideally, you can get all the way to the end and even get Facebook ads going right. Implement it as much of it as you can.
[01:11:08] Then you're gonna submit your site, you're gonna put your domain name in the thread and say, here's my site, here's what I did. You know, if you wanna give feedback or any other information and you're gonna submit it, it must be submitted in the thread as a comment on the thread that I make. I'm gonna make a contest thread.
[01:11:27] You must drop it as a con, a comment on that thread. Again, with that information link to your site, a list of what you did any other data you want us to know about how it went with the project and whatever. And then. Everyone in the community will vote. Now obviously, the further along you get, the more votes you're gonna get.
[01:11:49] The earlier you post your project, probably the more posts, the more like thumbs up comments and interaction you're gonna get. And I would I would also encourage you to go through and look at everyone who posts in this thread and do some voting too. You know, vote on some of your favorites. You can thumbs up your own, by the way, if you want to.
[01:12:08] No problem. That could, you could be your very first vote on your own project. So, thumbs up your own stuff. Take a look and see if you see other projects that you like, comment on 'em, thumbs 'em up. And then we'll freeze voting on Monday. And the one who has the most likes and comments will win first prize that will be $500 in cash.
[01:12:32] The second. One is gonna win $300 in cash and the third one will get $200 in cash. So that's how we're going to award that and the way the whole thing will go down. So you'll see that posting again on school in just a little bit. So feel free to drop your projects in there or if you're like trying to scramble to get 'em finished or get a little further along before you drop 'em in, that's fine too.
[01:12:57] Just realize the longer you wait, the less time you're gonna have to get votes from our community on your project. Okay. Cool. And I'm glad you reminded me. 'cause boy, today's been, you know, I crawled out of bed and I like hit the floor in work mode and I've been on the phone doing calls and demos and Oh man, and then straight onto this show and it's been a busy day and it completely slipped my mind.
[01:13:25] So I appreciate you reminding me.
[01:13:29] Daniel: Cool. Well, we've got a few final questions here and if you're ready, I'll go ahead and fire them away.
[01:13:36] Bill: Yeah, let's do it.
[01:13:38] Daniel: So Tony says, is the group coaching programmed for consecutive days or can you use it over a longer period of time?
[01:13:45] Bill: Yeah, it's for two months. So you have two months of that.
[01:13:49] And the group coaching happens every week. So that would get you what, eight sessions, I think over that, that two month timeframe.
[01:14:00] Daniel: Alright. Robert wants to know when, where do we get the link for today's recording? And we'll make sure to send that out and notify you. So you'll have it in your right in your inbox.
[01:14:12] Bill: Yeah, we're gonna put this together and the, you'll have the access to the recording plus the other material I promised.
[01:14:18] We'll give you a link to be able to check it out. Just give us a couple days, you know, we're going into the weekend now, so give us a couple days to get this all prepared and all the material over to you. And there you go.
[01:14:32] Daniel: Okay. Mary asks, so we don't have access to replays beyond this if we are a bundle plan,
[01:14:41] Bill: Well replays for what?
[01:14:43] Daniel: Probably the the workshops.
[01:14:46] Bill: Yeah, the workshop replays are all coming down. Originally I was gonna take 'em down today, but we're, we decided to leave them up. Are we leaving 'em up till Sunday?
[01:14:54] I forgot what we decided on that.
[01:14:55] Daniel: Yeah. Yeah. We're leaving 'em up till Sunday.
[01:14:58] Bill: Yeah. So the workshop replays will be up till Sunday. And you know, so that was intended to be a live sort of whole live thing. So those will all come down on Sunday. But you can watch 'em up until then. This session that we're doing right here, right now, you paid for, right?
[01:15:14] It was part of what I told you'd get for paying for it. Don't forget the workshop was free, like we gave the whole workshop was the live experience. It was free. So I you know, what I had originally promised was that it'd be up for 24 hours. So we've already left it up for the full week and then it will be pulled down.
[01:15:29] Yeah.
[01:15:32] Daniel: Alright. When we purchase, do we get a rest for credits or reset? Excuse me. When we purchase, do we get a reset for credit?
[01:15:43] Bill: I'm not sure what you mean. A reset for credits. It upgrades your account and your credits reset every month would be how that works.
[01:15:54] Daniel: All right. Do we get recordings for group coaching if we miss them?
[01:16:01] Bill: You know, I should know the answer to that and I don't. Do you know Daniel?
[01:16:06] Daniel: I feel we, I feel there is but I also don't know.
[01:16:10] Bill: I think so, because I know I've heard Jay tell someone to submit a question and it'll be in the recordings.
[01:16:14] So I think that means it's recorded. I think so.
[01:16:18] Daniel: Yeah. I think so. I think I've seen those emails go out for replay reminder, so, yes. Okay. Alright.
[01:16:27] Bill: Yeah, Jay is you know, he's head over our whole division related to mentorship and training and things like that. And then he has his dedicated mentors and they as a team run that whole part of the company where they they handle the.
[01:16:40] Our weekly sessions, they handle the one-on-one mentoring and and a bunch of other stuff too. So you're in good hands, he'll take good care of you.
[01:16:55] Daniel: Alright Andy says I guess he found a an issue in the how to create a Facebook business site. Did he just reach out to support or what's the best way we can help?
[01:17:07] Bill: Yeah, so when you create your meta business account, and here's part of the problem, meta changes the user interface, like it seems like almost weekly.
[01:17:17] And it's also could be different for different people. Like we've had that Daniel and I are looking at an ADS account and he has a different user interface than I do and it's Facebook is just crazy. They're continuously. Changing and testing and all this stuff. But what I will tell you, if you're trying to create a Facebook page, log into your business account and look down, and in fact, I'll show you on my own account.
[01:17:42] Let me just do that real quick just to make it simple.
[01:17:54] That is, if Facebook is gonna load, come on Facebook. Okay, there we go. Here we go. When you log into your business suite, look down for the gear down here in the bottom. You see that? Down here? Right over here. Click on settings, then click on pages right here, right? Then click on add. Create a new Facebook page.
[01:18:25] So I hope that gets you what you're looking for.
[01:18:28] Daniel: Yeah, I hope so too. And that his interface doesn't look different.
[01:18:32] Bill: It might. It very well might, but yeah, that and oh, the other thing is if you have more than one business manager, look at that. Look at how many I have. Right? So, make sure you're in the right one.
[01:18:44] And you do that by, in the left column here, click the dropdown and make sure you're in the right business manager.
[01:18:57] And what's next?
[01:19:01] Daniel: Alright let's see here. Phyllis asks, will the group coaching be available for the light version?
[01:19:08] Bill: It's not, that's part of what comes in the premium. Yeah. You can upgrade if you want.
[01:19:17] Daniel: All right. And Robert just wants a confirmation in school. Just the coaching is called the AI Accelerator Group, is that right?
[01:19:25] Bill: That is right. That is right. And then you have to be approved for it. So you'll have to, our team manually adds you into the group. I think that's been done by now, but it's possible they might do it on Monday.
[01:19:36] But the sessions are, I have to go back to the group to verify this so I don't say something that's not true. But here, let's take a look together.
[01:19:49] So there is the timing, and you'll be able to go to the live session here. And if you're not approved for it, you won't be able to get in. But, so everybody here watching me right now is a, will be approved for it if you're not already. That might happen on Monday. I don't know if Samantha and the crew has finished that yet or not.
[01:20:10] But you're, you'll be manually added into the the group coaching.
[01:20:16] And if you ever wanna know where, when it is, come into the community, click on calendar and you can just look for the AI success sessions. I
[01:20:30] Cool. And then, hey, while we're here, if any of you haven't yet dropped feedback on the buildOn like a review, which I asked for that. Where is that? Okay. Here's the Build-On. I would love your feedback. Just in general.
[01:20:55] There is a link to get gimme feedback about the buildOn. And then the other one is Buildy. Oh, we're up to 159 comments on the Buildy one. And 141 on the buildOn. That's cool. So here's the Buildy one. I would love your feedback on each separately, by the way, it would help me a lot. We'll, we screenshot the success stories that you give in there and share them to show people how, you know, how cool buildy is.
[01:21:23] It would help me a ton if you would drop in there. And again, keep that in mind that I would screenshot what you say and it would be helpful to tell the world about what you like about Buildy. So you could say something like, I saw several people talk about how they've never had a website before and now they built one in, you know, one afternoon.
[01:21:43] I saw people saying, you know, like they never had the ability to get traffic, and now they do. How easy it is, how fun it is to talk to Buildy, what, whatever angle you want to hit. And then I would love your feedback about both Buildy and then separately the buildOn. And it'd be super helpful to us and I will be eternally grateful.
[01:22:05] So what else do we have?
[01:22:08] Daniel: That's all, those are all the questions I have.
[01:22:12] Bill: Okay, fantastic. Well then what I'll end off with, I appreciate you and I'm incredibly grateful that you did you. Took the leap of faith and you jumped in and became part of this whole build ability success bundle. And I think that's pretty darn awesome.
[01:22:32] And I know some of you are gonna get to be doing a little bit of coaching with me. So you're all, if you took the ultimate program, you're gonna be assigned your mentor that I think that process has started today. If it hasn't, it will on Monday. And you'll be assigned your mentor, they will start working with you.
[01:22:48] They'll let you know if you're one of the, what I was calling the final five on on the show yesterday. So if you're one of the final five, they will let you know. And then, a good time to work with me is once your basic business is up and running, so you actually have everything is complete, you're starting to get a little bit of traffic, to have a little, maybe even a little bit of results or lack thereof.
[01:23:11] That's the perfect time for me to come in and really help with the leverage. You know, I can bring my knowledge and my experience and use that to help give you a nice kickstart from there. Having me come in really, really early isn't super helpful. The coaches and mentors are frankly, better suited to help you with that than me.
[01:23:29] But once you get to that point I would love to come in, see what you've been working on, and help you get that leverage to have that breakthrough and really get things moving quickly. So I look forward to that. And that would be, again, for the ultimates that have upgraded if you're one of the final five and, I think that's it. But even if you didn't join Ultimate and you're a premium or a light customer I'm so happy to have you be part of the Buildy family and I really do mean that. So, with that I look forward to helping you again soon sometime. And Daniel, once again, thank you for your help.
[01:24:03] And with that, we'll sign off. Bye everyone. Oh, and by the way, I'm going out of town, so I'm going to Austin, Texas so I'll be gone all next week, so I can't possibly be back on the air for at least a week. You can rest my voice for a full, although I'm speaking on the stage on Monday. But other than that, I can rest my voice for the a week.
[01:24:26] And now with that, we will go goodbye everybody.
[01:24:29] Daniel: Safe travels.
